I am looking at starting a series by Yasmin Galenorn, midway through Wired for Story by Lisa Cron, and reading a study guide for case management. I’m a mood reader. #book#autistic#actuallyautistic
@tinebeest@Kencf618033@bookstodon@audhd I would like that! I apologize if I’m missing the link or the info on the radio show. Would you be able to direct me a me further, please? Thank you!

Did you know that if you live in the US, you can ask your #library to order #books? Budget constraints exist, but if we don't ask for our bookstores and public libraries to carry books written by #autistics for autistics, many voices are missing from the digital & physical spaces. Please consider how your requests help diversify what is available publically and keep expanding your requests to include more voices. #actuallyautistic#autism#audhd
A few I’ve requested at my library are Neuroqueer Heresies: Notes on the Neurodiversity Paradigm, Autistic Empowerment, and Postnormal Possibilities by Nick Walker. The anthology Gender Identity, Sexuality and Autism: Voices from Across the Spectrum and Unusual Medicine: Essays on Autistic Identity and Drug Addiction by David Gray-Hammond.
Hello #bookwyrm people. I'm considering making an account but I have a question: Does it have a social community aspect like goodreads where you can make updates and comment on others' updates? Or is it like storygraph that's mainly about registering your reads and then see graphs/stats?
@actuallyautistic@audhd
Sometimes I bookmark social media posts that I want to respond to but need additional time to consider because my understanding is still unfolding. I may look through the dictionary or urban dictionary, try to find further social context, ask myself if I am being too literal, and then I'm lost in thought or have fallen into a rabbit hole. I do this offline too. Sometimes that means I may never enter the conversation. #actuallyautistic#audhd
@theautisticcoach@actuallyautistics I know this conversation has grown since the original toot, but I wanted to wrap it back around. I dislike passive-aggressive communication. I agree. But what does this have to do with being edgy? 'Edgy' may mean something different to me, possibly a colloquial difference. I reviewed the dictionary and still can't quite understand fully. How are you using the word 'edgy' in this toot?
Thinking it over... if organisations won't set up on Mastodon but they will on Threads, I'd like the ability to follow them from here without signing up to Threads.
Totally understand @aussocialadmin's caution at this stage, but would be good to revisit when it becomes clearer how Threads will use federation.
Author/Writing Retreat Day 1- We took a long break from writing to see the ocean. I’m utterly fascinated and soothed by water. It’s easy for me to spend hours lost in my head by the shore where I live, but we have a well protected bay at home not the open ocean. Here it’s long stretches of the Pacific. I watched the white caps until it was time to leave and even now at the B&B I can hear the ocean waves. #audhd#actuallyautistic#sensoryseeking#adhd#pacificocean
