When it comes to medical tech, the only possible outcome of a successful patent infringement case should be court imposed licensing fees. Outright banning of the medical devices hurts consumers.

The biggest difference they would notice from POTUS perspective would be how the POTUS no longer has much if any power to control the narrative.

After that they would notice how dishonest brokers like @rbreich have mislead progressives into thinking "Biden is complacent for not doing enough arm twisting of lawmakers" akin to how LBJ passed his social legislation in an era before social media.

With only a WordPress blog now required to host yourself in the fediverse, and lots of dirt cheap self-hosting opportunities now available, the defederation threat will get weaker and weaker. Especially since the big masto hosts are unlikely to participate. I think the energy could be better spent working out new ways in which we can create a truly governable interoperable network, than on efforts to block any one player from it. But they’re free to do as they please.

There's not enough geek factor out there to make that popular to the point of posing a challenge to twitters dominance in the global dialogue. Spoutible for example is doing well though. They also have a cross-posting feature very useful for activists: everything posted on Spoutible automatically posts on your mastodon account.

Bot sentinel analyzed posting patterns. So if you do 99% replying in threads, you could get a high bot rating.

I think many gullible people thought bot sentinel had some special powers that twitter didn't have internally. They took its rating literally instead of as a sometimes helpful guide.

Don't know what script Bouzy started with but PHP script can't hide anything malicious.

Spoutible has the best interface of any platform I've tried.

    He has conflated the very loaded term "oligarchs" (literal mafia looting of state assets post-USSR, who soon after started backing a dictatorship) with American corporations.

    Now he is spreading mistrust of the press. Those who believe him then have nowhere to turn except to a left wing populist of their choice (Bernie, Jill Stein, Andrew Yang, including TYT or other false flag operation that does nothing but bad mouth Dems).
