I want one of these for Christmas. Mainly so I can invite friends over to play video games and then break this badboy out. Pitfall? Barnstorming? Adventure?

CLeituga,

@grumpygamer

How big is your TV? We could boot up THE EARTH DIES SCREAMING and pretend it's a viewscreen while we roleplay Star Trek and occasionally jump onto the controls to shoot down some enemy ships. (totally didn't do that when I was a kid)

There's an UI Discord, but would you use an Unreal UI Forum? In the interests of knowledge not being lost in Discord.

CLeituga,

@_benui

As someone who'd might use it in the future, a forum would be great.

The catch is that it would have to allow for page navigation instead of threads with infinite scroll.

CLeituga,

@_benui

Not Discourse forums, unfortunately. For example, the forums.unrealengine.com uses that platform.

CLeituga,

@_benui

My brain just pushes back against that delivery format.

I find it hard to pace or organize myself when cross-checking posts, while with pages I can remember stuff like "a certain post was halfway through page X".

Not everyone has this issue, that's why I wish it was optional, a toggle I could find in my settings and choose "give me the old school way of reading forums please".

And some completely random pickups today.

Last month, I stood on a scale for the first time in about 2 years and somehow I got up to 90kg.
When I was young, I used to weigh 73 and as years went by it got up to 83 and levelled out there.
But the past 5 years have been rough to say the least.
So I decided to do something about it and stop easting junk.
Already lost 3kg.

Gonna make some onigiri instead of eating so much bread all the time.

CLeituga,

@OutofPrintArchive

Ooh. Didn't know onigiri was healthier than bread. Last time I read about it, they were comparable, with types of bread coming on top.

Is there a specific onigiri recipe that makes it a better choice?

Browsing Twitter makes me feel gross. 🤢

CLeituga,

@eniko @glassbottommeg @mike

Can only imagine what's like using twitter in the last 10+ years without it being heavily modified by adblockers and browser extensions.

Can't really venture beyond the "Following" tab or followed hashtags if nothing else is visible in the interface.

I'm done posting there, but my timeline is so heavily curated that I still check the things shared by the folks I follow. Now if only they'd move...

Who could've possibly predicted this outcome of Embracer's massive buying spree?

Anyway, shoutout to fucking Mark.

CLeituga,

@beeoproblem

Possibly in the beginning, but it quickly went beyond that. The most upsetting thing was: where was all that money coming from?

When someone posts a kickstarter update, biting their head off for not showing enough progress for your particular tastes is not a motivating thing to do and is certainly not going to lead to more progress

CLeituga,

@eniko

People like that are everywhere, already dealt with too many in the past.

Heck, just recently saw Tim Cain's video on Fallout 2, and it painted a clear picture of how Brian Fargo ran Interplay the same way.

  • CLeituga,

    @eniko

    How much did they pay? I could cover for it so you can kick them out lmao

    CLeituga,

    @eniko

    Yeah, I was following up with, that sadly, the best action is to ignore them. 🫠

    Can only imagine the tantrum they'd throw if they'd lost access to something they apparently don't use. 🙄

    Last week, some good folks were comparing solutions to a shrine and I couldn't recognize that specific puzzle.

    Turns out that I had solved that shrine before, just, huh, in a very, VERY, different way. 😳

    (spoilers for Tukarok Shrine)

    Right at the beginning of the shrine, Link pulls out of a pit a tall stack of parts made from deconstructing a pre-built vehicle, bringing stuck with it the sphere necessary to open the exit door, also located at the start, completely circumventing a long sequence of puzzles.

    You asked for it, and it’s coming. Quote posts, search, and groups are on their way. In the meantime, check out the new onboarding experience launching today. https://blog.joinmastodon.org/2023/05/a-new-onboarding-experience-on-mastodon/

    CLeituga,

    @Mastodon Isn't full account migration at the top of most requested features as well?

    Really need to stop updating @Vivaldi. I'm already at 5 crashes today. 152 tabs should be nothing.

    CLeituga,

    @Vivaldi Hi. No, just opening more tabs. Wasn't crashing like this before the Workspaces update.

    What do the crash logs include? Can't really share work URLs or stuff that might land within NDAs.
