picture it! smelly locker room at my local gym.

a milf approached me and asked if I finished my workout. I told her that I was about to start. then she said that she's there for the first time (she had an appointment with a personal trainer) and was terrified because "what if I won't be able to do it?! I'm not strong!!"

I dreamt that my presentation was bad. only 5 people showed up for it. then I had the infamous 'technical difficulties' with my slides. after all that drama, during a coffee break, I tried to fill a plate with coffee, and everyone was looking at me. how many conference related horrors can you fit in one dream? I'm my brain hater.

Yes, I have always fun w these vids 😄
I gathered polish & ukranian have phonetic similarities (on top of the obvious slavic vocabulary etc), but they are not immediately evident bc of the diff alphabet & esp the graphic variation of the latin one in polish.
So I could more easily guess the pronouncuation of the ukranian version for sure.
Also I noticed understood some times more than the girls just bc of my little russian.

I can't give numbers about your last statement, but I'm sure there are calculations about the shared vocabulary & gramm structures b/w Ukr-Pol-Rus etc (I supposed belarussian should be in the group too & Lith? & Let?) as there are for Scandinavian or Romance lang for instance.

As for the historical steps/dates u mentioned, I'd say they confirm a centuries long contact or common history of those territories.
I actually would just add it was there even before 🙂👍🏼

Yes, there is for sure a combination of factors.
Building on what you said I would add that language or vocabulary specifically can move along with culture (arts & tech & religion for some aspects) and economy.
All those lines of connection b/w ppl can rarely be truncated by borders (which I have the feeling sometimes ppl imagine more physical than they ever were historically btw - tho I'm not an expert for that partic area I know those borders were played with a lot).

we watched many films between us with my partner. our interests do not always overlap, so often we can recommend or advise each other against something.
sometimes, we also start little projects together and watch cult classics that neither of us watched.
so we tried "Lawrence of Arabia" 😬. We were wondering why we hated it. well, apart from all white saviour, imperialist shit and cheesy acting. then we simultaneously yelled: there are no women!!!
