Another of those greats who was influential and capable of magic and yet who many will never have heard of. (Which the artist himself notes is even more the case with many who’ve never been recorded.) And despite the relatively few words from Reilly himself in this piece, it packed an emotional wallop with me, especially at the end.

Seeing as Ubisoft have killed AC: Black Flag, I’ve gone in on Origins, and I’m bloody glad I have, because it’s ace!

Very, very similar to Odyssey, which I adored, so the game is basically the same, as are the mechanics and the way things work.

    Can someone tell me if the "boost this because I want to see how many instances I can federate with" thing is a load of bollocks?

    Or is it a case of the more people see a post, the more likely they are to pick up followers from a wide array of instances?

    Wanted to try a new font on my Kobo - Atkinson Hyperlegible. So I downloaded it from the Braille Institute website, extracted it, and copied it over.

    Installed in on my Mac too, which works fine. It's a .ttf, so pretty much universal, I believe.

    It makes my Kobo crash. I can't even scroll down to it on the fine picker. I tap the button to load the next page of fonts, and the Kobo locks up and reboots.

    So that's cool.

    Today's has straight up pissed me off. Not because it's a fucky one or anything, but because it really shouldn't have taken me 200 guesses...

    @tanepiper When it came time to upgrade my phone back in February, I was so close to spending £70 on a shitty 4G Nokia clamshell.

    But ultimately, the allure of the convenience of the iPhone ecosystem won out. So I went all counter-cultural, and picked up a 13 mini.

    Currently wiping my old MacBook ahead of attempting to sell it, so going through the process of completely removing all traces of Opencore.

    I'd forgotten how incredibly slowly it boots off this Samsung M.2 with trim enabled. It take a good 90 seconds from power on to in the OS. Once the OS is loaded, it's fast as lightning.

    Looked into it before, and it's just something to do with this particular model of SSD. There's a few that do the same.

    And I'll tell you what; it doesn't matter that I'm not using this Mac any more, it's still giving me the yips deleting the Ventura partition on it.

    I don't need it there. It's up to the next owner to decide if they want to patch it. But still...

    Oh, just remembered something that made me laugh earlier.

    Episode of Modern Family where they’re in Sydney. Phil eats Vegemite and has an allergic reaction, Gloria looks at him and says;

    “You are allergic to the ve-he-meetay!”

    And, well, I will no longer rhyme Vegemite with Yosemite.
