New printers are terrifying though. Reading one that says 'will print in mono even if one of the colour toners runs out' then in the small print notes that this is limited to 1000 pages. Why? Oh yes you want to see me colour toner at 100 quid per colour.

I've got it into to my tiny mind that i want an Apple TV. Mostly to access Apple Music and Atmos tracks and Classical but even 2nd hand the 4k boxes (which you need for Atmos) keep their price (damn you Apple). Maybe I'll find one under a bush (I found some discarded (stolen?) broadcast video equipment under a bush once a very long time ago.

@emsquared As someone who uses Apple TV, if you’re already in the ecosystem, they’re great. Mine is an older HD model, not 4K, but my TV is only 1080p so it doesn’t matter, and it’s absolutely rock solid still.

I stream PC games to it over WiFi from my wife’s PC up in the office, and it’s flawless.

@emsquared Oh, in that case a 4K will be spot on for you.

My ecosystem comment is more around the fact that you can AirPlay from Apple things to ATV, and it works as a hub for their smart home stuff.

But for simply accessing AM and playing it out through speakers (or BT headphones) ATV will be perfect.

Another of those greats who was influential and capable of magic and yet who many will never have heard of. (Which the artist himself notes is even more the case with many who’ve never been recorded.) And despite the relatively few words from Reilly himself in this piece, it packed an emotional wallop with me, especially at the end.

Seeing as Ubisoft have killed AC: Black Flag, I’ve gone in on Origins, and I’m bloody glad I have, because it’s ace!

Very, very similar to Odyssey, which I adored, so the game is basically the same, as are the mechanics and the way things work.

    Wanted to try a new font on my Kobo - Atkinson Hyperlegible. So I downloaded it from the Braille Institute website, extracted it, and copied it over.

    Installed in on my Mac too, which works fine. It's a .ttf, so pretty much universal, I believe.

    It makes my Kobo crash. I can't even scroll down to it on the fine picker. I tap the button to load the next page of fonts, and the Kobo locks up and reboots.

    So that's cool.

    @tanepiper When it came time to upgrade my phone back in February, I was so close to spending £70 on a shitty 4G Nokia clamshell.

    But ultimately, the allure of the convenience of the iPhone ecosystem won out. So I went all counter-cultural, and picked up a 13 mini.
