How do you think I worked out that this applies to Ireland? I just don’t like having to check the source to find out that the post is not relevant to me. I accept that the post title is a true reflection of the article’s title, but lacks the article’s context. On a par with click bait titles as far as I am concerned.
I have two Epson ecotank printers, one at home and one for small business. Not cheap, but the ink that comes with the printer lasts for years. That is at 30 pages a month or so. Avoid all inkjet printers with replaceable ink cartridges.
We urgently need the ability to move your user account to another instance for that to work. At the moment, it’s not easy to move to another Lemmy instance, I would have to redo subscriptions, blocklists and likely pick a different username.

Not OP, but every now and then I will view all to discover communities I may want to subscribe to. Blocking ones that appear a lot in the ‘all’ feed but are of no interest to me (memes, anime,…) sanitises the list a bit
Sorry if this has been asked, but ernest has been on fire lately with kbin and it looks like he is getting pretty close to releasing the formal API soon....
My first anduril light, and first small light. Really happy with it. Thanks to you wonderful people, and the ones we left behind on Reddit, I ditched the cheap supermarket zoomies and got my first decent light from Zak’s list, a wowtac a2s. Good recommendation, great light but angled lights aren’t my favourite. Next one was...

Average joe would be in trouble for just using whatsapp or email for government business. It is against the rules of any government department I ever worked with. Never mind deleting the evidence.

Upgraded today on iOS, had to re-enter my account and redo setting, effectively it was a re-install instead of update. Love Lemmy, but this was not a good experience.
EDIT: Thank you for all the great responses! I agree that a forced implementation is no longer the way to go. I’ve left the post as is, aside from this comment, in case anyone wanted to reference part of it. At this point, I think implementation 1 (Sincere Request) is the way to go if anything....
Users congregating in a larger community has its own problems if that is on an instance that, for some reason, ends up being defederated by many others. I wish the communities could exist independent from the instances, a bit like usenet.
Arbitrary List of Popular Lights - Fall Equinox 2023 Edition
In honor of Fall Equinox, I've made an updated list of popular lights. Days are getting shorter and nights are getting longer - it might be time for a new flashlight.
Today, i got my third light from this list. All solid recommendations by Zak. Wowtac a2s, a right angle 18650, a few years ago. Great for jobs in dark corners of the house or car, but not my favourite for outdoor walks. FC11 was next, great for dog walks. Now I added a TS10, much lower moonlight than the FC11, good around house/hotel at night. Bright but small so good backup if the FC11 ever dies while I’m out. And of course anduril to play with. Big thanks to Zak.
