Richard Blumenthal have intro’d legislation to enforce the Constitution's explicit language banning foreign by prohibiting the President, VP, Cabinet officials and Members of Congress from accepting payments from foreign governments without first obtaining the consent of Congress.

Officials would be prohibited from accepting foreign payments without Congressional approval during the entire time in office and for two years after leaving.

So, just to be clear, if the Tories lose the election (which seems likely) and Labour then decide not to continue the policy of deportation to Rwanda... what happens to all the money (over Β£200m) so far transferred to Rwanda?

Can we expect a claw-back or should we just add it to the growing pile of money the Tories threw away (or more accurately thew to their mates)?

Yep, you don't understand.

Very soon, as in about a decade, AI will be able to do all low lever labor. Soon after it will also be able to do all mid complexity level labor.

What will matter are the politics in place as this happens. Do we go for a Star Trek world, or a The Expanse world.

In light of the second Alito flag report, Senate Judiciary Chair Dick Durbin is calling for Samuel to recuse himself "immediately" from cases related to the 2020 election and the Jan. 6 insurrection "for the good of the country."

I want to apologize for not posting my news feed today. We experienced severe storms all day yesterday, and they are still ongoing today, which unfortunately exacerbated my joint pain.

When I woke up at 9 AM and 9:30 AM, the pain was too intense for me to be productive. After taking medication and resting further, I was finally able to get out of bed around 2:30 PM. Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I plan to resume posting the feed in the morning.

Yes, we are all ephemeral. Even our civilizations are. Unless we move Earth, it only has five hundred million or so years of habitability left. Even Earth is ephemeral.

In the long run I think humanity should graduate and all move off Earth, leaving Earth to the next species to evolve into a tech civilization.

Bulldozers have been demolishing homes, crushing cars, digging up roads and destroying roundabouts. I’m unclear if there was a secret Hamas megabase under one of those roundabouts, but the parked vehicles must have been up to no good. The only other possibility is that this was destruction for destruction’s sake.

I know of a couple of out queer celebs who are wealthy enough to be on that list. It may be that the public doesn't know how wealthy they are. I know Forbes was over an order of magnitude off for the wealth a former partner. They can only work with reported wealth.
