Remember my "otherwise intelligent" friend had been trapped in conspiracy bubbles. My #MAGA relative used to demand I watch videos certain to change my mind about #covid, #vaccines, and certain #politicians and #celebrities. I've watched him "do his own research" which obviously consists of online rabbit holes curated for the gullible to fall into. Now I answer his demands with, "Send me a report and I'll read it." He never has. He still occasionally asks, "Aren't you outraged that [insert conspiracy theory here]" to which I reply, "If true, that would be terrible."
