As a small child I was absolutely convinced that people in the olden days lived their day to day lives in black and white, and that they walked slightly faster than we did today (assuming a frame rate thing?)....
I grew up in Mexico. We had a kids songs tape, kinda like the chipmunks or something. In one song they talked about sugar being expensive, but using the analogy “sugar is high up in the clouds, and I have no airplane.” I used to think clouds were made of sugar.
Yeah, how about YOU try again. If you can’t see what’s wrong with being the distributor, coordinator, enabler, promoter, etc., of such horrible acts, then something’s really wrong with you. Argue all you want, you’re still WRONG.
I don’t discredit what Metallica contributed to the metal genre. Hell, I was once a hardcore Metallica fan. But since their heyday, many much better bands have appeared. And with actually good drummers.
This is great and all. But it’d be even better if there were more awareness campaigns on male contraceptive options and a bigger push for the male birth control pill.
much more valuable and varied in their applications as a medicine
You know why these “much more valuable applications” are known? The pill for women has been around for so long that doctors and medical researchers have been able to observe and test it. We’ve yet to see what other potentially valuable medical applications a male birth control pill can have. While your argument doesn’t deny the support for male bc, it very much seems to support the idea that women should still carry most of the burden and responsibility of bc, and all the side effects that come with using whichever method.
I had a bad habit of touching the negative pole of a AA or AAA battery to my upper lip, and the positive to my tongue, and you can feel a bit of current and sort of gauge how much charge the battery had. One day I saw this mini battery for a camera just laying around. I did it without realizing it was an A23 12 volt camera battery. I literally saw lightning in my eyes and never did that again without making sure I wasn’t going over the usual 1.5 volt AAs.
At some point I started running cold water on the knife before cutting and onion, and it seems to help. Does anyone know if there’s science behind this, or am I making shit up?
