Same here. I’m dude who was very upfront in his bio about being an asexual nerd and I still got booty called by plenty of women who seemed surprised when I told them I was ace. And it’s not even like I’m hot. That’s not just low self esteem talking, I’m so generic looking people literally struggle to describe me and I think it’s hilarious. I’m pretty sure a lot of people (men and women) are just lonely and playing the numbers game hoping something works at this point.
Usually insurance policies will completely cover it because from their standpoint a vasectomy costs them a whole lot less money than childbirth. For them it’s cost saving and they only care about the money. When I got mine, my insurance covered it and I had basically the worst insurance in my area.
I think what they’re trying to get at is that if you see a gun, you assume it’s real until proven otherwise.
Should police be shooting people just for having a gun in a country where we have a legal right to bear arms? No, of course not. But saying that the cop should have immediately known it was fake is a BS argument. They have no way to know that and when in doubt, it is always a real loaded firearm. Firearm safety 101 is literally to always assume every gun is loaded and live until proven otherwise.
If you’re going to argue at least use reasonable arguments that don’t make all of us in the ACAB crowd look dumb. Like the fact that this cop was known to have a drinking problem and a history of domestic violence which should have disqualified him from being a cop. Plus police shouldn’t be shooting people for meerly posessing a weapon in a country where that is a legally protected right. Plus the kid was nowhere near the gun when the cop shot him.
When my boss was complaining about not getting matches on Tinder I told him he has manager arms. When he asked what that meant I told him it meant that they were non-value-add.
I enjoyed college and was fortunate enough to enjoy a good white collar career. But if I could do it all over again, I would have learned how to become a licensed electrician, plumber, etc.
I originally went to college for computer science because I liked programming and I was good at it. Then I got a gig to write some software for a company and swiftly realized that if I had to do that 8 hours a day 5 days a week for the rest of my life I would jump off a bridge. So I dropped out and went back to working in a factory.
Now I’m a process tech at that factory who basically works as the right hand of the engineers. I spend my days keeping my brain busy troubleshooting new and unique issues, fixing equipment, and generally doing whatever it takes to keep production running. It’s the same problem solving fun I got from programming but I get to work with my hands and with more varied mediums. I absolutely love it and I make more doing this than I would if I was a programmer in my area. I make enough money to be fairly happy and I’m in a position that is about as automatable as plumbing (not at all) so my job is secure.
So, with all that said, if I had to make the decision to drop out of college again, I would do it even faster. That’s not to say I’m not grateful for what I learned in college, but it wasn’t worth all the money I spent. Not to mention the drain on my mental health of trying to both work full time and go to school full time which is what I needed to do to afford it.
To be fair, neither are typically hand soldered in profesional environments anymore (outside of rework). Surface mount stuff gets paste and sent through a reflow oven. Through hole stuff gets wave soldered or sent through a selective solder machine. The only thing I can think of that needs to be hand soldered anymore are batteries because sending a lithium ion battery through a reflow oven or over a pot of molten metal is a bad idea.
Also, fun side fact, lithium ion batteries also explode if you stick then in antistatic bags. I’ll let you imagine how our inventory people discovered that.
You’ve just described the stock market and capitalism in general. Ironically a digital curency is one of the few places where unlimited growth is actually possible. Not that BTC is a good idea of course.
The pain is caused by chronic epididymitis because sperm gets blocked up in the epididymus. The fix is surgically removing the epididymus which is not nearly as straightforward as the initial vasectomy, has a much larger chance of complications, and a much more miserable recovery period. If the pain is ocasional (which it is for most guys with this issue) then usually your best bet is just ignoring it. For OP the surgery might be worthwhile though.
It’s usually epididymitis which is a swelling of the epididymus which is the sack attached to the testicles that stores sperm. Basically, after the vasectomy, sperm can’t be expelled in the typical manner anymore but the body will keep producing it regardless so it has to break it down reabsorb it; if for some reason sperm is being prodiced faster than it is being broken down then it starts to back up and cause swelling in the epydidymus which is painful. How painful it is is going to vary a lot depending on the person. I’ve had a vasectomy and I ocasionally get pain from it. Just every once in a while (averaging about once a month) my balls ache with pain that rates between 2/10 and 4/10. Usually it doesn’t even last a full day but sometimes it lasts up to a week. Even knowing about this I still would have chosen to get a vasectomy.
The choice of puppies is weird but a snakes gotta eat and you can’t exactly just feed them a head of lettuce. Is puppies really that much worse than piglets or rabbits?
Once a snake gets to a certain size rats won’t be enough anymore. At that size there aren’t any good mass market options so those snake owners will usually take what they can get. I knew a guy that bred reticulated pythons and he wound up having a deal with a pig farm where they would sell him any piglets that happened to die early for dirt cheap (because what else where they going to do with them). But if you don’t luck into an arrangement like that what do you do? If you have an ample supply of unwanted puppies I guess it would make sense to use puppies. As awful it sounds to western sensibilities, dogs are livestock in other parts of the world.
Exactly. If he was humanely euthanizing them and then freezing them for snake food then there really isn’t anything that wrong here. I know most people would prefer that the meat of choice not be puppies but that’s just how western society views dogs. But societal views aside it’s no different than using piglets which are what a lot of large snake owners use.

Thankfully, it was not the only place in town to get a jigsaw puzzle, but it was the only Minnesota-themed gift shop to buy jigsaw puzzles. (This is not relevant.)
This is a bit of a side note but I remembered you were looking for things to do while you were in MN a while back. If you still are, the National Eagle Center is always fun to visit. It’s in Wabasha which is almost exactly an hour drive from Rochester. It’s also probably a better place to pick up souvenirs.
I make $50,000 and I live alone in a 3 bedroom house (a fixer upper but decent enough) which I own in a decent part of my not even terribly small city (~50,000 people). And I live comfortably enough even though I put very little effort into budgeting. Only 3 years ago I was still living in the same house/area off of $30,000 and even that was technically livable. $55,000 in my area is decent money as long as you don’t go completely wild with it and it’s downright great in a dual income household. There are also areas of the contry that have an even lower cost of living than mine.
Once you get out of the metropolitan areas money usually stretches much farther.
You need some sort of licensing to do most HVAC work anyways. Theres no point in forcing companies to make all the parts available to the average joe when the average joe can’t legally do the work anyways.
