Someone mentioned while I was gaming yesterday and we were discussing Windows 11 and he said “just get an add blocker” and it blew my mind. Like why support a company that thinks “this” is the future? When there are alternatives.

The “hit piece” that reports another company being run like absolute shit from the guy that is running a car company like shit, a space company like shit, a tube company that closed down and couldn’t even come close to what was promised.

Am I missing something? Maybe it’s a hit piece because the guy is a piece…of shit.

So you guessed? You don’t have any kind of way of confirming that figure? I see 37% from some studies. Microsoft itself has monetary estimates but no percentages of stolen software.

But how did you figure out that number. You don’t know everyone on Earth. What websites or facts did you use to throw together an assumption that so many people use with pirated gear?

First he combined two things and presented them as facts. Denying one does not enforce or negate the other. He starts by saying that we are led to believe that there are ties to the Chinese Communist party and thus trying to control the United States. It is unequivocally connected to the Chinese Communist party. There is no denying this. It’s well documented. If they are trying to control us is pure speculation it is not fair to say. But to say one is without the other is horrible journalism.

Second he tried to parallel this with Russia saying it is fear mongering. Russia unequivocally tampered with our elections. They used social media to do so. They made these agreements with Jared Kushner present. There is reason to be concerned and aware that it has historically happened and there are legal consequences that are playing out currently.

Btw TikTok is banned in China itself.

I don’t think that is something to feel bad about. The evidence led you where you thought it went and it led somewhere even better. Diagnosis isn’t a perfect line from a to b to c all the time. I’m sure your family and friends understand that.

It’s been issued by the FTC. I’m not sure if the courts are the mechanism to challenge this. Maybe in implementation. But not so much in overturning the policy.

Yes. It’s an appeal. However it’s still on the company to provide just cause for it to be removed. The way I am reading the mechanism it still favors the workers unless the company can provide just cause. It seems a NDA is more fitting in almost all cases.

It looks like they are suing them. Let’s hope they take as long as they take with Trump. I am also not sure if suing them makes them financially liable or removes the stature? The article doesn’t say much other than lobbyists (fuckin waste of space) are suing the FTC.

I have seriously had to fight in court because they refused to let me pay electronically, even though in the terms of the lease it says paying through their website. I have been here for 5.5 years. They are refusing to take the tender in the form they asked and claiming it’s my refusal to pay because I won’t drive two hours to drop off a check. Who still uses checks?

Its a shit show. Their lawyers don’t return calls and there is a class action against them for overcharging other tenants in other states. I stay here because I do like the house and my son has been here since he was a little boy.

One of mine is Commit This to Memory by Motion City Soundtrack. I basically took the title verbatim and know the album word for word. And while I would love if it did, the rest of MCS’s stuff just doesn’t hit the same way....
