Glifted,

Seriously, why the fuck is this on this community?

Glifted,

It a fair criticism but I think they’re much closer to production this time. I’m still skeptical they will make it to production, and even more skeptical that they will be successful in the market. However, I am rooting for them simply because I believe this design philosophy is the direction the automotive industry ought to be taking.

It makes no sense to build heavy, powerful, and expensive EVs in a time where we’re looking down the barrel of climate change and terrible income inequality. Aptera seems to be one of the only companies that understands that. Certainly they deserve to be questioned given past failures but I do hope they succeed as their design is a step in the right direction

Glifted,

Photoshop even

Glifted,

Perhaps to you that’s the obvious solution, but my first thought would be to use an image editor. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Different strokes for different folks I suppose

Glifted,

Are there no ethical standards for journalism?

THE ALGORITHM REQUIRES ENGAGEMENT THE ALGORITHM REQUIRES ENGAGEMENT THE ALGORITHM REQUIRES ENGAGEMENT THE ALGORITHM REQUIRES ENGAGEMENT THE ALGORITHM REQUIRES ENGAGEMENT THE ALGORITHM REQUIRES ENGAGEMENT THE ALGORITHM REQUIRES ENGAGEMENT

Glifted,

Seems like it should just say NO GIRLS ALLOWED and the joke works better

Glifted,

There’s this stuff they give you before a colonoscopy. I don’t know what it’s called but it will get the job done

Glifted,

That seems optimistic, but hey the kid is 18. Who knows who he’ll turn out to be?

Glifted,

I realize this is a joke but there’s something real here about contrast making your characters more memorable or something

Glifted,

There’s a clip of a swimmer doing it without shoes/clips so maybe they’re optional.

Glifted,

I don’t know man, I started on 35mm, then went to digital, and then graduated to “whatever shitphone is in my pocket”. Film definitely has a different feel to it, though I don’t know that it’s necessarily better or worse. Just different.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad some folks are keeping film alive. I just don’t find it to be that much better.

Glifted,

I know you’re joking but this is basically how police operate

Glifted,

You can’t make me do anything with Ohio

Glifted,

This might be slightly controversial but I tend to prefer the 110mm rocket pods

Glifted,

Real Dale Gribble energy with these people. Pretty sure my brother is one

Glifted,

The original message and the explanation were a rollercoaster for me. Not going to lie

Glifted,

I’m so frustrated with the internet right now. My wife started making Castile soap and I’m trying to find out if its some fu-fu-berry-bullshit or like an actual decent soap. Google is feeding me momfluencers (which range from ‘fine but there is no accountability’ to blatant grifters) and sites that are simply trying to sell this stuff. I’m going to try again with kagi tonight, but it’s still very frustrating that I never know what to trust anymore. The bullshit is coming faster than I’m able to handle it

Glifted,

You beautiful bastard, that’s exactly the kind of thing I was looking for.

I’m bookmarking that page. Thank you!

Glifted,

I used to use DuckDuckGo but I found it wasn’t very good. Haven’t tried in a few years though

Notes from a year of reading science fiction and fantasy [potentially minor spoilers]

Below are books I’ve read over the last year, with notes about on what I thought of them. I started this list just to remind me what the books were about and if I thought they were worth reading. As the year went on, my notes became a little more substantial. The list was for me, but I thought I’d share in case it’s useful...

Glifted,

You read a lot!

Thank you for writing all that. I was looking to add some books to my list and its surprising how helpful it is to just get one person’s opinion on a ton of books like that.

If you had to pick one (or a few) book(s) from this that you consider ‘must-reads’ which would you choose?

Is there something wrong with GOG version of Fallout 4?

I got hyped by the TV series so I will play the game for the first time (yes, I know, it took this long). I usually prefer to buy GOG version of a game but I saw the rating of FO4 GOG at 3.9/5. Why is that? I have read somewhere that there is technical issue of some sort which includes modding for GOG version? I expected higher...

Glifted,

On how it hasn’t aged well?

NV looked pretty dated even for the time it was released. Personally that doesn’t bother me much but I have had a lot of issues with corrupted save files and game crashes. To me that makes it hard to recommend, but it’s still the best first-person Fallout… If you get it running properly
