I'm awake early but I also went to bed early last evening. Somehow after the bike ride and then eating early dinner right after that, I just felt myself getting sleepy and sleepier. So about 5 PM I checked my blood sugar to make sure it was looking proper and it was, so I got in pajamas and got in bed and soon fell asleep.

That's just listening to what my body is telling me. I needed sleep and still need more sleep than most other people.

Today 7 years ago I put on the first estradiol patch and took a spiro tablet after I picked them up at the pharmacy. I don't take spiro anymore but I've always had at least one estradiol patch on my body since then.

Transition has been both easier and harder than I imagined since then. Easier in the sense of how it's always felt proper for me, I feel better with estrogen than I did with testosterone. I feel more me.

The harder part is the unfortunate ways a cishetero dominated

Dreams were intense and weird.

Forecast says it'll rain today and cloudy with showers tomorrow. Maybe sunshine returns on Thursday. I could use good days of sunshine. Yesterday there was some semi-sunshine getting through thin clouds but not the sunshine I need.

Ginza is such a good sleeping buddy. I love hearing her sometimes making sighing noises in the night because of how comfy she feels.

I need to go real easy today. Last evening my falling asleep period got disrupted and it cost me at least 2 hours of sleep and plus I didn't sleep deeply. So I lost important recovery time after a day of the most physical activity I've had in years.

I'm grumpy about it.

Soon gonna make my breakfast and feed Ginza her breakfast.

It's gonna be a long day.

I had hoped to sleep around the clock, but woke up, tried to go back to sleep, and couldn't.

So I'm up now. I've already had first breakfast and think I'm going to soon make a second breakfast. Just so hungry from years of how my body had been slowly starving, but now in addition to that is much more physical activity every day. Weight has been holding steady and more importantly, I think the balance of micronutrient intake is in my favor thus far.

Awake. I've had breakfast and fed Ginza hers. Yesterday was a solid 4 meal day and I was able to walk and cycle.

Forecast calls for partly cloudy skies this afternoon and more sunshine than yesterday. We might reach 65F. I'd like to see the 70s again sometime, PNW. You ever heard of decent weather along those lines?

Dreamed last night I had moved to a new apartment and there were multiple cats in it but I couldn't find Ginza and I was getting upset. But when I woke up, she was sleeping

I've awakened early.

It's Caturday. It's May 11, 2024 and that means it was one year ago today that I first fed Ginza. I had been seeing her around in the weeks prior and earlier prior to the photo, I had taken a bag of garbage to the bin. I spotted her underneath the light blue vehicle and when I went back to my apartment, I put some dry kibble in the plastic dish, brought it out and put it down in the empty parking space. Then backed away until finally she came out.

Awake. Feel sleepy sided but I slept better. The sunburn itch is subsiding and this morning was first time in some days that I didn't need to immediately apply hydrocortisone cream to anyplace on my body.

Ginza was of the opinion we should continue sleeping when the alarm went off today. But I got up and so did she though she wasn't bouncy like she often is. I've had my breakfast and have fed her hers.

Today's my 6 hour workday. I hope to take a walk of more than 3 miles and a cycle ride

I'm awake. Have eaten breakfast and fed Ginza her breakfast.

Would have liked to keep sleeping this morning, but it's Friday. I hope tomorrow I can sleep in til 6 AM. More sleep is always good for me as it stands.

Body feels okay. Brain is still slow and grumpy, but maybe like yesterday it'll slowly wake up and do okay.

I dreamed I was running last night. It was a happy running dream and I'm sure I dreamed that with how it finally seems my body is getting better

Awake. I slept better last night though I still need more sleep. Weather should be much better today and I look forward to taking a walk and a cycle ride after work. I had had some activity for fourteen straight days and I missed the mental recharging that can give me.

I've eaten breakfast and fed Ginza hers.

Get through today and then there's only 2 more days of work until a 3 day weekend. 3 day weekends should be the standard anyhow really.

Awake. Slept well but certainly could have used a couple more hours or more. I've had breakfast and I've fed Ginza hers.

Funny thing. Body feels good today except for the fact my upper arms are pretty sore. When first waking up, I couldn't figure out why that was until I remembered how I did ten pushups yesterday morning, spur of the moment thing.

But what's weird about that is how those ten pushups felt way easier than any time I had done that many last year...but I don't remember such

IzabelaKaramia, to random
@IzabelaKaramia@writing.exchange avatar

Didn't achieve the goal of sleeping around the clock, but I did sleep 11 hours so that's good. I needed a night of long sleep.

I've had breakfast and have fed Ginza hers.

Feel pretty good physically. Arms are no longer sore from the ten pushups I did Thursday morning. So today some point I will do a set of ten pushups and see how the arms feel tomorrow. But yeah, I hope to rebuild arm strength and body core strength.

Weather might make outdoor activity short in time today.

Slowly waking up. A hard lift to get myself out of bed this morning, it still feels like the disrupted sleep of Sunday night is affecting me, plus I didn't really sleep great last night and I also have to remember how I'm a lot more physically active now.

So the primary goal today is go easy. It's going to rain too. I will at least try to do a walk of 30 minutes and maybe a short easy cycle ride if the rain isn't too heavy.

More and more Ginza likes it if I put a hand on her

I'm awake. Slept pretty well, though I would have liked to go back to sleep and get a couple more hours.

Legs and body feel pretty good after yesterday's activity, though I can tell the smart thing today is go pretty easy. The weather is my friend about that today, because it's to get rather wet and miserable.

I've had my breakfast and will soon feed Ginza hers.

Seems like the unpacking effort and stress from Sunday and Monday then combined with yesterday's walk really tuckered me out. I took a 2.5 hour nap late afternoon, got up for about an hour and a half and then went back to bed.

Ginza no longer sleeps by my feet on the bed. She has to sleep next to my tummy or my back, whichever side she's on when I sleep on either my body's right or left side.

If I've come awake and she stirs too as I get my bearings, she makes happy sounds, chirps and purrs.

Morning came too soon. But I slept long and well and I hope that I will have better energy today but I probably should still take things easy as possible.

I can hear Ginza thrashing away at the ball that dangles from her cat tree.

Time to make me breakfast.

IzabelaKaramia, to random
@IzabelaKaramia@writing.exchange avatar

Didn't sleep as late as I had hoped, but yesterday's 3 hour nap after work plus 9 hours last night has probably helped a lot. I don't think I'll get ambushed by irresistible sleepiness today.

OTOH, this weather continues to be meh and miserable in my opinion.

Ginza was quite bouncy at first this morning, but I fed her breakfast about half an hour ago and now she's happily snoozing on the bed and digesting her food with a good nap. Smart kitty.

I'm again awake early. Largely because of the itchiness from the sunburn I got on Thursday and Friday. I've been using aloe vera and hydrocortisone cream to ease symptoms, but it's going to take another day or two to subside.

I should have bought sunscreen the weekend before this one. I bought some yesterday and used it, but I had already gotten burnt.

But on the good side of how I've had outdoor time 5 straight days, I've walked 11.3 miles and biked 30.9 miles. Feels so good to move again.

Awake. Woke up early because of itchiness from sunburn I got on Thursday and Friday. I hope that eases up soon and lets me get back to sleeping more comfortably and deeply. Other than that, I feel pretty good physically which is amazing after a weekend where I cycled 23.5 miles and did a decent amount of day to day stuff. The body is working properly again, it's getting all the ingredients it needs to rebuild and improve after exercise.

I woke up early early, about 230, but it's Friday.

Need to keep today on the easy side and when I take a walk after work, it'll be only 30 to 40 minutes and at a slow pace.

Ginza is the best cat in the world.

Supposed to be mild today but clouds are going to roll in and then comes a stretch of gray days, but maybe next week the more summer like pattern starts to take hold and sunnier warmer days become more consistent and frequent.

I've woken up early.

Today is to have more sunshine earlier on than yesterday and temps will climb into low 60s. So I hope to take a good walk in the early afternoon and again maybe take a short bike ride and see how my legs do with that. The legs feel fine this morning and I hope that the exercise stimulus from yesterday will have good effect in time on circulation and strength.

Ginza is a bit annoyed that I'm not still in bed and sleeping together with her.

I've awakened early. Really could have used another night of long sleep. We'll see how today goes.

Furniture in the bedroom has been rearranged bit over the past few days and as a result, Ginza's cat tree is now located between the bed and the wall and that seems pretty convenient for her, putting her two favorite pieces of furniture right beside each other.

Last evening, when I got into bed, I felt it when she leapt from the floor onto the bed next to me, but immediately leapt from there...

Slept in til 530 this morning.

Weather is going to be wet today, but I hope to find a less wet time to walk about 30 minutes and get blood to circulate.

Need to figure out an unpacking task or two to take on today.

Ginza, of course, remains the best cat in the world.

@IzabelaKaramia@writing.exchange avatar

I've awakened early but I went to bed early last evening and had a 90 minute nap in the early afternoon too, so I hope it'll be ok today.

Weather is still quite chilly and damp. Wet really. Maybe I take an easy walk today, maybe I don't. It' s hard to judge sometimes whether it's better to rest more or walk to help circulate blood and help with nutrients getting distributed around the body.

Coming Saturday it's a big anniversary date for events that brought Ginza and me together.

IzabelaKaramia, to random
@IzabelaKaramia@writing.exchange avatar

I didn't want to get out of bed this morning. Ginza seemed to feel the same, she just wanted to remain curled up against me and snoozing.

Weird dreams about being back at places where I used to work. A person asked me if I were pregnant. I said I wasn't, that I was just holding a pumpkin under my blouse with my hands.

Supposed to get sunny today though it won't really warm up until Thursday. But at least there'll be sunshine.
