Slept fairly well but even though I've already had decaf tea and a banana, washed and smoothed face, changed into clothes, my brain is still dead in the water.

Guess it be Friday.

Still very glad I quit caffeine. I feel it's helped smooth out my daily cycle and it's helping me to sleep better at night

Wonder if Ginza is going to spring more new surprises on me today? It's been a week full of amazement from her so far.

Awake early, which isn't great, but I should be able to manage it for today and I can sleep in tomorrow or take a nap or naps if need tomorrow.

Muscles feel pretty good after 2 consecutive days of swimming. The arms and shoulders are a little stiff, but no soreness. That's big improvement in the past week. Legs feel pretty normal, not like yesterday when they felt like floaty balloons early on.

We'll see how today goes.

Slept really well, that I slept deeply and rather peacefully. Still won't be surprised if I nap late morning or early afternoon.

I definitely will watch Spirited Away again today and likely again tomorrow. There is so much imagery in the movie.

I want to make today a really slow day. By that I mean keeping my own pacing slow and deliberate. I've been getting better at that this summer, but it's an easier mindset to maintain when it's not a workday. So let's be slow today.

I would have liked longer sleep, but I will take a little over 8 hours and only one brief wakeup until this morning.

Having my first cup of tea. Will soon eat a banana. The nice thing about being up this early is it lets me dawdle about assembling myself for turning on the work computer for 8 in the morning.

So yeah I didn't sleep til 530 AM like I had hoped, but otoh I will say that while I was asleep, it felt like the melatonin helped me get down real deep and I remember there had been some long dream going before I woke up.

Perhaps tonight I will again take melatonin before bed, but also prepare a half-tablet and a glass of water so if I wake up and don't fall back asleep in 20 minutes, I take the half-tablet and see if that can get me back asleep.

Arms are stiff but not really sore like they were after 2 prior swim sessions. Good sign maybe? Legs? Legs feel weird. They aren't stiff or sore but feel kinda floaty like balloons?

And then Tom Hanks showed up

Dreamed about running last night. Dreamed my legs had gotten covered in mud and I had gone back to work in an office. My legs were still muddy. I found out I was a team leader and that my team loved me which freaked me out

So I started talking to them, told them not to idolize

A pretty good night's sleep, probably 9.5 hours of time asleep. The wakeup was kind of wrenching and I was highly tempted to shut the alarm and go back to sleep.

But Ginza. I can take a nap later if I need more sleep.

Plan to buy melatonin when I run errands today and use that this evening to try to help me get 2 good nights' sleep in a row.

Slept pretty well. Remember having a long dream overnight, in which I wasn't present, it was like I watched a movie, that had 2 young autistic men falling in love with each other and building to a climax where finally one of the young men asked the other one for a date.

Now it's time to get my brain starting to function. Let's start with decaf tea and a banana.

Sleep was iffy some last night. Woke up a little after midnight, then from there til about 3 AM going to back to sleep was a fitful experience flicking back and forth between consciousness and sleep.

Today is a Monday where I wish 3 day weekends were the norm.

I need to get some tea and nutrition in me and start sorting and evaluating how I'm doing.

I'm up early, woke up about 1 AM, tried to fall back asleep, but gave up on that around 230. I'll probably need to nap in the afternoon.

Looking forward to seeing Ginza this morning. I think I'll do again like yesterday, after she comes in for breakfast and starts eating, I'll close the doors. The basic idea now is to do the sit and chats almost completely indoors. I hope that will help with trying to teach her use of a litterbox.

Now 8 days away from flying across the country with Ginza, the once feral cat who has decided to take up residence in my home and heart.

Fell asleep okay last night, but woke up around 1 AM and never really got back asleep after that. Just sorta drifted until 5 AM when I decided to get up. Brain feels pretty fried with all the extra thinking and stuff I've needed to do. But I will try to coast today through work and then I will be off the next 10 days.

I'm awake early, though it felt like I was sleeping really deeply while asleep and the sleep app graph says I was

The difference may be from it didn't get so chilly overnight and when I did wake up once during the night and then when I woke up today, I was comfortably warm and didn't feel chilly any

Not sure what I'm going to do with today. Primary important task of something to get done is laundry. Everything else is do if I feel energy to do it.

Probably a night of sleep that was slightly helpful to the state of me. A longer than desired wakeup period during it, but not nearly so long as what I've been experiencing recently.

I've already had tea and a banana to help me wake up. Washed and smoothed my face. Making another pot of tea. Getting myself sorted to be ready for when Ginza shows up outside so i can go out and sit and chat with her. This morning I'm not going to make any effort to coax her inside the apartment...

Awake. Still didn't sleep great, having lots of trouble lately with the thing of waking up after a few hours and then it taking a long time to go back to sleep

That wasn't helped any by feelings of bloat in the gi tract. I suspect I forgot to take zenpep with a meal yesterday and so now the tract is complaining about less than well-digested carbs, fats, and protein passing through it.

Slept about 8 hours total, did have a wakeup interlude of around 35 minutes maybe, but while asleep felt like I was really deep. Sleep app graph seems to agree with that assessment.

Replied to a toot by someone in burnout recovery and how they had recently begun doing things more slowly and I heard that because it's something I've been increasingly doing in my own life. Just trying to keep myself moving at a slower pace. I feel it helps with my monotropic brain.

I'm up early. Forecast says it's gonna rain all day.

I plan to chip away at knocking off a few more needed tasks today.

Watched a few videos last evening of people doing hikes at places in the Cascade Mountains. I wonder if it is at all possible that one day I might feel good enough again that I could at least do short day trip kind of hikes in those mountains.

It reminds me of how in 1984 I went to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and hiked there. I was too damn young then to appreciate

Woke up from a dream where there was a cyclops who wore glasses. Glass maybe? He only had one eye and it was just a glass lens over the eye in the center of his face.

Slept about 11 hours.

Have had 2 small cups of tea. Brain is starting to show signs of coherence.

Slept pretty good, about 9 straight hours with only fairly brief wakeup.

I'm down to the last 8 teabags that aren't decaffeinated tea. So instead of brewing up two of those like I have been for a month or so, I will only do one of them today. Then once that daily ration is done, I will go exclusively with decaf.

I dreamed last night that Ginza meowed. A small meow. I hope it's possible she might learn to meow.

Ginza was very interested in getting her wet food breakfast this morning. Yesterday was the day of her least favorite can of wet food from the box of 32, so she didn't eat as much of that.

I only slept 8 or 9 hours, but it was a solid and deep 8 or 9 hours.

Now that Ginza has finally satisfied her want for wet food, she's settling down to snooze and dream while she digests the happiness of gravy in the belly.

Fell asleep before 6 last evening. Had hoped I might sleep around the clock to 6 this morning, but I'm up already. But the sleep I did get felt fairly deep and restful. Remember a dream in which I was so tired I got back into bed and fell asleep inside of being asleep.

I've got a few final packing tasks to be ready for the moving service company that'll be transiting most of my belongings across the country. They'll be picking the load up after 3 PM today.
