How come noticing minute facial asymmetries in people is considered an autism thing? And if it is, what causes it? Do NTs really not notice these things?

For the record, I very often do recognize asymmetries others don't.

@Cassandra I ended up watching the one where Geordi and Ro get phased and no one can see them. I liked that one, but I never understood it. They can walk through walls, but they don't fall through the floor. Also, they can somehow still breathe.

I have a lot of special characters memorized (ALT-[key] for windows and long presses for Android) but why is it so needlessly difficult to Google each one individually? Surely someone, somewhere must have compiled a good table of all of them. It would sure come in handy.

We're watching a Canadian series. I think my wife can't detect the Canadian accents. I can. Go figure.

Some people definitely have it more than others. The show is in and around Toronto. Most of the people do not have much of an accent, but some of themโ€”ooh boy! Yah, y'know, eh?

As someone who is actually autistic, should I use the ActuallyAutistic hashtag every time I talk about autism, or only sometimes, for more serious philosophical posts about autism? Or maybe only for my own personal experiences as someone who is autistic?
