Dear @fiberarts, how hard is it for a total beginner to do a clean geometric shape (a nonagon in my case)? I only have some cross stitch experience. Finished piece should be 4-5cm in size.

    @nblr Das ist die Jury des jeweiligen Landes, die haben auch je 1-12 vergeben aber nur die 12 wurde angesagt. Den Rest hat man aber jeweils eingeblendet gesehen.

    App idea: A todo app where you estimate your todos with story points and importance. The app learns how many points you can fit into a single day (maybe also checking how free your calendar is) and distributes your list over the coming days and weeks.

    I have found a really nice knitting pattern for a cardigan in a classic relaxed cut. I really need a layering basic that has T-shirt length and can pair well with festival and band shirts but also with summer tops and maybe even with button downs. Now I just need to decide which shade of neutral I want to make it in...

    I love black but my summer wardrobe has a significant share of navy blue. Too dark of a color might be bad for summer, too, because it will catch heat. Too light might be not so cool with my pink skin. Medium grey could be too undefined, meh. Hard decisions.

    What's the coolest #abandoned
    place you've ever been to?

    For me it was an abandoned datacentre around 20ish years ago. A friend and I went to a rave in an office park area in a very nondescript abandoned building.

    Once inside, we noticed the raised flooring, and random racks just standing there.

    Considering both of us worked in tech, and logged in quite a few hours in datacentres, dancing in between the clean-picked bones of one was quite surreal and very cool.

    @ainmosni a former NVA installation that covered Honecker's nuclear war shelter. The shelter itself is sealed through. We spent a weekend there with the current owners and got a private tour.

    Sind technische Studiengänge in Deutschland eigentlich immer noch so schlimm? Ich bin damals raus, weil wir code auf Paper runter schreiben sollten, man hart und ohne Witz auf deutschen Fachbegriffen bestand (Keller, Halde, Hafen), und mir classfull routing als Lösung für richtige Dimensionierung von Netzblöcken (vom Leiter des lokalen Fraunhofer-Instituts, der eine der Basis-Vorlesungen hielt) präsentiert wurde. Ausserdem waren die Komilitonen arg hässig. Das war mir dann irgendwann zu dumm.

    @nblr habe von 2008 bis 2015 Informatik studiert und vom ersten Semester an Programmieraufgaben digital bearbeitet und auch die zugehörigen Klausuren am PC programmiert. "Datenstrukturen und Algorithmen" war allerdings auf Papier, weil wir dort nur Pseudocode schreiben mussten, ebenso Datenbanksysteme, weil es hauptsächlich um relationale Algebra ging.
