Well, the Rozelle interchange was never intended to improve traffic for the surrounding suburbs. It’s meant as an addition to the M4-M8 so they can connect to the northern side of the bay.
It works as designed™
Any “fix” they claim to do is an attempt to calm the public.
Anecdotally, when i drive the WCX to work it saves me an hour each way, but it is always empty
I have a pax3 that is starting to show it’s age. The battery is not holding it’s charge that well and I’m sure the tech has improved a lot over the years. I was looking at a crafty or mighty+ but wanted to see if there was something else comparable for a little cheaper. I would like to keep it under 300, but can spend some...
All the cool projects I see while lurking around here have thrown me into the world of Self-Hosting! Some months ago I got myself a NAS, flashed it with TrueNAS and started playing. Today, I am ready to face the creation of my first homelab....
It seems, based on your comments and others in the post, that my next step is to flash OpenWRT and do a deep dive on its firewall functions. Thanks for taking the time to educate me!
I work on equipment that runs off 3 phase 208V but it uses uses a transformer to drop it down to 120V for most of the controls. On this equipment I noticed that there are two fuses on the lines exclusively feeding the 208V side of the transformer and a fuse directly off of the hot side on the 120V side of the transformer....
My Electromagnetics is a bit rusty, apply a healthy measure of skepticism:
I’d say the two fuses are there to protect the transformer itself.
In the example you use, the upstream of the transformer would be protected by the 280V fuses but the transformer itself will have to suffer the overcurrent, and could be damaged by it. If the transformer is dipped in cooling oil, the overcurrent could even lead to an explosion.
As for the TUV inspection, the two fuses would be desirable for any TUV cert, and they would be required if there is any chance of explosion.
Over the last few years my family and I have binged all of Star Trek, then moved on to Star Trek adjacent shows like The Orville and Stargate. At the moment we’re not really watching anything sci-fi. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for similar shows (or maybe some books) that fill the void left by Star Trek. In...
Yes, those were exactly my thoughts! The animations allow you to create all manner of creatures & environments that would be pretty hard to do otherwise
I am searching for a controller to play emulated switch games on my pc. My requirements are motion controls, good build quality and responsiveness, and preferably hall effect sticks to make the controller last longer avoiding drift....
I’ve got the gulikit pro and its the best controller I’ve ever had! I specially like how I can quickly swap A-B buttons on the fly. 3 others of my group also have it
Excess oxygen is actually harmful to humans, but all the climate warnings are about losing oxygen, not nitrogen edit: but when we look for habitable planets, our focus is ‘oxygen rich atmosphere’, not ‘nitrogen rich’, and in medical settings, we’re always concerned about low oxygen, not nitrogen....
When scuba diving recreationaly, Nitrox tanks actually have higher concentrations of oxygen, leaving less “space” for nitrogen and other gases.
Normal air tanks are filled at 21% oxygen. A nitrox tank will have more than 21%. The ones I use have 32% oxygen, wich helps when being at depths between ~20m and ~40m
I know that technical divers do use other gas concentrations, and they even change the nitrogen in the tanks for other inert gasses. But I’ve no idea of which gasses they use.
Howdy y’all! I am diving extremely deep into mycology and am on a quest to catch up on all modern research on the subject. I’ll list out some conditions and wants to see if that...
I occasionally enjoy them when I’m between games, and I know I will not have the time or energy to start a new, more involved game.
I see these kind of games as a different medium to tell a story and, if done well, the controls can be a part of the storytelling. The Last of Us is a great example of using controls for this.
As to why not whatch a movie? I cannot sit in front of a screen passively anymore. If I’m with my partner, we can sit together and watch something, otherwise, I want to interact with the screen, even if it’s only by walking.
I’ve been a subscriber for 4 years now, I find it interesting and relevant, and they don’t seem to have favorites amongst the political parties. They are mostly politics focused tho.
So WestConnex was totally going to solve traffic in Sydney by adding more lanes for cars. Just a few teething problems on the Rozelle Interchange and it'll all clear up, they said.

Can you recommend a book for me please?
I’ve basically been ordered to pick up any fiction book and read, after a friend discovered I’ve not read anything but non-fiction for a decade....

Why are we so concerned with oxygen production yet we never hear about nitrogen production, though we actually need 78% nitrogen vs 21% oxygen to survive?

Why do people want games that are just stories without any gameplay, these days? Why not just watch a movie for that?
