The real dip will happen when the third party apps go down, specially with stuff like reddit Sync's dev now making Sync for Lemmy instead, and Artemis for kbin/Lemmy and Memmy being heavily inspired by Apollo.

Lots of people come over when you explain it to them; even made this quick summary including Sync and Artemis to explain to confused redditors what's happening, and it seems to be effective. Feel free to use it.

Nearly every game that runs on Windows runs just fine on Linux nowadays, with some setup on your first run.

Nobara os makes it even simpler.

Same here. Keep telling people; lots of them come over.

Specially when you mention Sync for Lemmy, or Memmy for Lemmy and Artemis for kbin/Lemmy which are both heavily inspired by Apollo.

Even made this quick summary of what's going on reddit and how Lemmy/Kbin works to copy/paste on any relevant thread; seems to be quite effective. Feel free to use it.

It's a small minority if you see the upvote/downvote count on comments

Just make positive comments encouraging the move to Lemmy/kbin and it'll be fine.

I've been explaining what's going on in the comments for the confused people and they've mostly been in support.

Reddit Sync's dev is already working on Sync for Lemmy, and Artemis for Lemmy/kbin looks like a spiritual successor to Apollo; will even be on both ios and android

You'll be surprised by how many redditors you can convince to join Lemmy by just mentioning Sync.

It's very effective. Understandably so; I've always browsed Reddit with Sync and it's probably the single best app I've ever used.

Here's a quick summary of Lemmy/kbin mentioning Sync and Artemis that I find to be very effective to copy/paste to threads with confused redditors. I suggest others to do the same.
