It would be nice if mobile browsers/apps would convert them. When I save a webp and want to share it… Whelp, can’t do that - doesn’t even show up in the list of images.
I don’t really see the point of this. It’s just adding complexity for the sake of it. As far as I can tell when you change gear it just changes some software parameters, there are no physical gears. Yet there’s a clutch and the ability to stall?
I would love the child of a Surfacebook with a Framework laptop; or A bare keyboard attached to a screen, that I could plug my phone (possibly running Phosh) and use it as a hardware for a laptop experience
I think the opinions here are valid but I thoroughly enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would. It wasn’t all that it could have been but I got into it and stayed interested and found it entertaining.
The picture quality isn’t as noticeable to me as the additional HDR and spatial sound that tends to be included. Even with that, any Blu-ray is significantly better than streaming.
I share a name with a very famous professional athlete. I don’t even think about it usually but as soon as I have to give my name to someone I can pretty much count on some remark about the athlete by the same name....
Given the harmful effects of light pollution, a pair of astronomers has coined a new term to help focus efforts to combat it. Their term, as reported in a brief paper in the preprint database arXiv and a letter to the journal Science, is “noctalgia.” In general, it means “sky grief,” and it captures the collective pain...
There was a NASA lady on StarTalk recently talking about how there’s something like 360,000 more satellites planned/approved to go into orbit and it’s going to completely erase the night sky. We’re at something like 7700 currently.
Can anyone ID this plant? My plant identifier is insisting that it’s a Jerusalem Cherry, but the next most likely thing is Silverleaf Nightshade. I’ve searched on both and it definitely looks like a Jerusalem Cherry, but I have absolutely no clue how it ended up in my yard if that’s the case.

You are wise beyond your years. In respect I look at the late 90s as maybe my favorite period when the Internet was mostly run by (and used by) smart engineers and techies and not corrupted by misinformation and data mining. IRC was great at doing what discord does today. The web still had fun stuff and shareware was great to explore. Broadband was ramping up so speed was good for people who had it.

DONALD TRUMP SAID he “absolutely” plans to testify in the federal government’s case against him regarding classified documents he removed from the White House. “I’m allowed to do whatever I want … I’m allowed to do everything I did,” the former president told conservative podcast host Hugh Hewitt....
This attitude is terrifying to people who handle national security information. Just because you might have authority to declassify something doesn’t mean you should. It’s reckless and irresponsible to expose sources and methods unnecessarily - not to mention the information itself. There’s a reason that declassified documents still have a lot of redactions.
This type of stuff is usually in a very controlled environment with significant physical security - not a bathroom.
