Perhaps a reason I despise the word ‘influencer’ is that it applies exclusivity to what should be viewed as - because it is - a universal human trait.

We influence each other. Welcome to humanity. What you read and who you interact with influences who you are.

This is why we must self moderate our influences rather than let them be chosen for us.

Self proclaimed influencers influence me too, just specifically to make posts like these and have disdain for the products that bought them.

@Jdreben I have found that the quality of providers on there varies widely. BetterHelp, not the providers, and not the patients, is the main one to benefit from BetterHelp.

I also found that text I put in on the BetterHelp site was available to their affiliate Pride Counseling (https://foundation.mozilla.org/en/privacynotincluded/pride-counseling/) and accidentally sent to me in a plain email when I contacted Pride. So, you know, that's always a good feeling.

The last time someone in our household got Covid, we were able to keep it from spreading to anyone else. ♥️🙏🏿 This time we were not so lucky. My Covid high score streak is finally broken! Rona got me y'all!

Completely unscientific observations of how this thing looks to have beat our mitigations:

Day 0: Contagious. No symptoms. Negative tests.

Day 1: Contagious. Slight symptoms. Negative test.

Day 2: Contagious. More severe symptoms. Positive tests.

@mekkaokereke I really appreciate your talking about this and raising awareness about what can be done to reduce risk. The ongoing COVID denial we're steeped in encourages people to just give up, and that is not in any individual's best interest.

@BigAngBlack it must be so hard for them. First they can't have their regular racing yachts, because orcas. Then they can't have their submersibles, because laws of physics. And now we expect them to consider other people's needs when parking their superyachts??

I say we remove this pebble from their lives by confiscating the superyachts and using them to ferry migrants to safety. The boats might be useful for evacuating acute climate disasters, too.

Tamir was murdered by the police at the age of 12 without warning after playing with a toy gun in a public park. The cop who shot him was fired, neither cop was indicted. The country prosecutors did a willfully poor job.

We have to remember the ongoing violence by American police because nothing has been done to change it, and if we accept a narrative where "we thought he had a real gun" is an acceptable reason to kill a child, then we all lose.

    So now that we know the imploded, when do we get to see the bill? How much has everybody spent on implausible efforts to rescue these five from their recreational peril? Last I heard France, Canada, and the US governments had sent concrete resources to this effort, I think the US Navy paid a private ship to get their recovery rig mounted on it.
    What was the dollar cost?

    How many refugees could the global we have rescued with that money? Why is there always enough money for the rich, even for fool shit like this, but when we talk about saving non-rich human lives, suddenly the well is dry?

    Of the over 600 people who drowned in the Mediterranean on June 14th, I bet you at least five of them would have made for a charming human interest story too.
