I don't think people are realising the danger the Fediverse is in.

The only thing stopping corporations and VCs taking over this place is that the Fediverse is spread out on many different servers, which makes it very difficult to purchase.

If most of the Fediverse ends up on mastodon.social, which is now a strong possibility, there will be nothing to stop most of it being sold to Musk or Zuckerberg or whoever.

The bigger mastodon.social becomes, the more likely a buyout is to happen.

    I like , I just wish it didn't take 14 seconds to resume from S3 suspend on my X200

    Also, the system uptime is actual runtime and not time since it was switched on, although now I'm not sure what the "correct" way is.

    As in, if you started it up, ran it for ten minutes, then suspended it for ten days, the uptime would show ten minutes.

    Just finished a playthrough of xkcd's recent "Escape Velocity" and I enjoyed it very much! That foreshadowing at the hollow planet, though, I have to admit I didn't catch at first. ;)

    That was a fun way to spend the time I should have been working on school with. :P

    No, the extension just flips the about:config flag for you. That's it.

    Confirmed. The "Resist Fingerprinting" toggle breaks it. That's the one thing that still runs in a private window. I forgot ;)

    (It "runs" in a private window, because it's a global about:config variable

    I pre-ordered one. Got mine in late 2021 with much excitement aaaand... nothing. Never really used it.

    It's not a bad device. Just wasn't quite the experience I wanted, that's all. For whatever reason, it didn't inspire me to write more, and actually made me go back to paper and fountain pen for a bit. <shrug>

    I highly recommend Turing Complete, a game where you start with a single NAND gate and build components up until you have a computer, solving various challenges along the way.
