The Python 3 version of ypkg, the current build tool in Solus, has landed in Unstable for wider testing!
While it may not mean much for the average user, this is a significant milestone for the team, bringing us one big step close to ditching Python 2 for good. This is our first tool to be used in production using Python 3.
Over the past few days, great progress has been made in porting our package tooling from Python 2 to Python 3! Every little bit brings us closer to not having any reliance on Python 2, and puts us in a better place for the eventual transition to #moss.
Here are the highlights:

Heya folks! This week, @kde#Plasma 6 comes to the Solus stable repository, available for everyone to use! To help ensure that the updates go as smooth as possible, Plasma users should ensure that their system does not go to sleep while updates are being applied. The system should also be rebooted after applying these updates.
Hab mir ein gebrauchtes Dell-Notebook von 2017 zugelegt, um damit zu "spielen".
Erst mal Windows zerstört, indem ich #InstantOS installiert habe, basiert auf #Arch.
Einfach, weil das Bedienkonzept so ganz anders ist und ich damit lernen will :)
Will aber auch noch weitere Distributionen drauf installieren.
Ziel soll dann sein, dass ich das MacBookPro wieder abstoße (das ich mir zugelegt hatte, weil ich darüber elektronische Musik machen wollte, wozu ich aber dann doch nicht so die Muse hatte - hm, vielleicht mal nochmal angehen, bevor ich es wegtue ...).
Den ganzen Tag mit verschiedenen Distributionen beschäftigt.
Dabei auf #FerenOS gestoßen, was mir auch einen sehr guten Eindruck macht.
Allerdings habe ich das auf der Partition installiert, auf der ich vorher #Solus hatte.
Naja, dann eben nochmal von vorne ...
Das ist ja das Schöne, an einem solchen Rechner "zum Spielen":
Installieren, einrichten, was anderes drüber installieren - hach, schön :'D
Btw:
Feren hat für mich die schönste #GRUB Bootloader Darstellung: sehr minimalistisch :'D
Nachdem ich gestern wieder "von vorne" begann, installierte ich zuerst #InstantOS, danach #Solus.
Dooferweise hat es dabei irgendwie den Bootloader zerschossen, weil zwar Solus bootete, aber ich nicht mehr auf InstantOS kam.
Nachdem ich das dann mehrmals neu versucht hatte, mit verschiedenen Reihenfolgen, was leider alles erfolglos blieb, habe ich jetzt nur Solus auf dem Notebook installiert :)
InstantOS und FerenOS habe ich auf meinem Linux Mint-Notebook als "Virtuelle Maschinen" angelegt, um dann halt darüber mal zu "spielen" :)
