Made this guy back in 2015... Have made a couple changes here & there. I've had the itch to sell it and make a new one from scratch, taking into account things I've learned & wanted to change...
When I go to my basement, my Google Fi Network says no service. I understand this part. When I leave my house though, the network doesn't come back automatically. I have to turn on/off airplane mode or restart my phone to get the network connected again. I tried resetting my wifi, mobile and Bluetooth, but that didn't fix it. I...
I've always been a rif user on Reddit, never tried out sync. But now I probably will since it's a professional level app for lemmy. Experienced sync users, what should I know?
Gave it a look. It's quite nice for browsing Lemmy (I did have to exit and reopen the app to get to my subscribed channel feed after signing in).
Composing posts & comments looks to be missing most of its functionality, though. No text formatting. No image uploads. Just a text box.
EDIT: Weird. My profile shows my comment history from my old deleted lemmy.ml account, even though I'm signed in to lemmy.world. (I switched instances because the web filters at work block *.ml)
Welp, I did it. One nice thing is that Cloudflare has an official WordPress plugin that applies recommended security settings.
I will note that WordPress does not take kindly to being setup on http localhost, then put into a Cloudflare Tunnel. It goes into a redirect hell that I wasn't able to figure out. You basically need to setup the tunnel, then run the WordPress install script from scratch.
Exporting from http localhost to your URL on Cloudflare is also not fun. The import process fails at pulling in your photos. Luckily, my blog was mostly empty, so manually re-adding the media to the posts didn't kill me.
Interested in seeing how other people approach their backlog. I’ve finally made a list of all the games I want to finish, and I’m forcing myself to play one of them a day for at least an hour....
I do use Grouvee.com to keep track of it, and where I own all of my games. Otherwise, I'd end up accidentally buying 5 copies of the same game on five different storefronts.
Anyone else crazy enough to build their own retro-gaming machine? (lemmy.world)

New sync user

Has anyone used Connect for Lemmy?
It's on the app store, downloaded and it's got a half decent UI and is fairly stable. Posting from it fright now. Overall, thoughts? Who is this dev!
Best practice for external facing service
On my network, I have quite a few VLANS....
Lemmy.world officially has 40k users, making it the #1 non-bot lemmy instance! (lemmy.world)
In addition to lemmy.world, the #2 real lemmy instance, lemmy.ml, seems to be growing as well....
How do you go about clearing your backlog?
