The progress is really encouraging, so it's time to get some feedback from real

One thing I have not come across on Mastodon is an instant knee-jerk reaction to criticism of the platform — and there has been quite a bit — from onboarding complexities to consumer confusion over the ‘fediverse’ and more. I’m struck more by how Mastodon advocates want to build a better platform and make it easier for anyone who wants to join.

people misinterpreting this (maybe bc they didn’t read?) that this is a threads-bashing post or that I’m saying Threads users weren’t talking about it. They were! The issue is that there was a MASSIVE delay in seeing the earthquake hit Threads Trends. That didn’t happen at Twitter/X and is a reason why X still has a grip on some users.

I guess it's time for an update on what I've been working on over the last year: A new app, completely rebuilt and rethought from the ground up. This probably won’t replace the current Reeder (not going away) for a lot of users.

It's not just an RSS reader. The app allows you to access content from various other sources like Podcasts, YouTube, Mastodon, and more.

It won't sync everything, only your saved items (favorites etc).

No more unread counts, it remembers the scroll positions instead.
