    @dansup I do not care about the age. If the admin tries to maintain a healthy place for everyone and handles my data responsibly, that’s my main criteria met.

    I don’t want to get too political, but politics is where I clearly see you can’t make a connection between responsibility and acting in everyone’s favor to a birth date.

    At first glance Sonoma's new web apps feature seems pretty legit. But they bypass web extensions like ad blockers, which makes me feel like it's a bad idea to actually use them in place of the browser-based versions for anything like TikTok or Instagram 🤔

    @stroughtonsmith I recommend using either a PiHole or NextDNS (with an account basically a PiHole hosted by NextDNS) and subscribe to the filters you want.

    You can apply these per device or in your router so even gaming consoles are covered.

    Gotta say, Mastodon slowly went from a bearable replacement to Twitter to a fairly competent one for me. A slow tricke of accounts to follow and new followers makes the platform feel much more alive now. I still find discovery way too slow and difficult, but I'm starting to feel at home here 🏡

    @Techaltar I miss a few official accounts. I did things like „hey Telegram, why did the WatchOS App disappear?“ so they can lie to me by saying it’s broken but will be back very soon.
    Or stuff like „hey, I like what you do. May I use your icon in my icon pack?“ without having to dig out dead websites which would have had a contact mail address.

    Now that it feels like the dust has settled more on the explosion of twitter replacement services, mastodon (read: Ivory) is by far the most enjoyable to use... I just wish the text-based-social-media userbase wasn't fragmented between three platforms as much.

    @gn I’m currently on the bsky waitlist but for now I’ll use Mastodon exclusively. I’ve found a lot of cool people and „groups“ here.
    Threads is not an option for me though. I will never use anything by Meta again. And I can’t join anyway since I’m from the EU

    Bestimmt stoßen so alle auf ein paar neue, interessante Accounts - vielleicht auch auf welche, die noch kaum bekannt sind, obwohl sie es total verdient hätten.

    @islieb ich war gestern nicht online. Ich mache ein wenig App Icon Zeug und habe ein Minecraft Resource Pack. Kein komplettes pack, ich mache eher eigene Tweaks.
    Meine App geht sehr schleppend voran, ich komme mit der Datenbank einfach nicht voran. Aber auf das Icon bin ich sehr stolz!
    YouTube versuche ich auch so langsam. Ich weiß nur nicht genau, welche Richtung es werden soll.
    Mit „Filz“ bastle ich auch und ich nähe manchmal.

    the creative process behind these icons was a JOURNEY—I’ve been experimenting with the leaf concept on and off for a year and a half and am finally happy with shipping it in this form

    As my birthday present to you, I released a small Apollo update that lets you download all the new wallpapers in the set in all their sizes and variations, instead of having to do it one-by-one 😛

    @phranck ich war bei Serverprofis. Ist gut für ganz kleine Instanzen, aber es gibt keine shell oder so zum bearbeiten. Man ist limitiert auf das, was das Nextcloud Dashboard anbietet.

    @BrodieOnLinux happened to me, too. I ordered an alternative wireless chip for my Lenovo, because the original one was super shitty for hackintoshing and Linux support. There was a small pack Goldbären in the envelope haha
