While each Mastodon instance sets its on rules media accounts reporting on current events may cross the line of that instances political views and censor them. The question is how to prevent this and whether to start calling out those instance admins when they do? The news can be in general uncomfortable but it is necessary.
@Sh4d0w_H34rt To clarify, the account @mondoweiss was ours. We setup our own Mastodon server and moved our account here. That account was never suspended. The mastodon.social server suspended our active account here sometime yesterday or today. That action has since been reversed.

My first finished piece. Garter knit scarf. Was suppose to be 3ft long came out to be more like 2 1/2 ft 😅, maybe it'll stretch a bit if I hang it up. Going to try a second scarf in a different color next.

Well so far I've lost track of the number of times I've restarted knitting the scarf. Either I'm not doing my tension right or the needles I have aren't right (they become too tight at times or give way suddenly messing up my stitch). Well I'll pick it back up later. Almost tempted to try it with my round needles instead and see if that's better.
@KarenStrickholm thought I was making progress the other day did 35 rows. Noticed it was getting wider so counted my stitches and was nearly double what I started with. I was adding an extra stitch at the beginning of my new rows. Started over again today and my stitch width is staying the same. 😤

I am needing help with getting a vehicle. I live in rural NC and its already hard to find work without transportation. I'm an unpaid caregiver for my mother and we often struggle to make ends meet. Even when I find work its temp. My brother-in-law says I could find something for $2k in my area. There is a local company with a union apprenticeship program I want to apply for but I need a car first.
I'm really getting nervous about how so many are embracing Threads. When I first heard they were going to federated, I had hoped we would see a stand for users' privacy. #fedipact wasn't taken up my instance admin, and even the user level block seems worthless as the POTUS account on Threads is still visible demonstrates. 😑😑😑
