This is what comes to mind when some neonazi whines about preserving confederate statues n’ shit because of ‘muh heritage!’

They’re not wrong that it’s our heritage; but it’s DEFINITELY not one to be proud of. If we’re going to showcase that side of US history (and we should), it should be done similarly to that of the holocaust museum: pull no punches in highlighting the absolute evil of the aggressors, and the suffering of the victims.

When we look at our ‘heritage’ we should feel shame and disgust so that when current events start to echo that history, we understand the gravity of what’s unfolding and make it top priority to stop that shit in its tracks.

A lot of Libertarianism sounds great on paper, so it’s an easy trap to fall into. Once you consider the human element and factors like greed, it stands out as an exceptionally abusable political model; but if you don’t think about it critically (which is a LOT of people), it’s just liberty this and non-aggression-principle-that and it all sounds just oh-so peachy… again, on paper.

Millennial here. I love working with gen Z! They’re almost always the happiest people on site, which is contagious; and they don’t put up with near as much shit as mine or any of the older generations do.

Give it a few more years and we’re going to see more strikes than a bowling alley - gen Z will go down as a major contributor to workers’ rights.

I’m not a fan of Biden, but I’d vote for a bag of his toenail clippings over the traitor Donald Trump.

US politics is always a choice of the lesser evil, and every gripe I have about Biden is petty as fuck in contrast to the damage Trump has already done to our country, let alone the potential to compound it if he’s elected again.

To answer your question, I’ll be disappointed in my fellow voters, but if that many people decide to vote against their own interests, then collectively we’ll get what we deserve.
