is proving a challenge - I looked all the big hits in the year of my birth, and there are none of real note.

But in the right sort of time is this one.

I do prefer the Disturbed version, but this one, given its age, is a stunning piece of music.

I was looking for a Satre quote to do something almost funny with, but I found this one, and it blew me away:

"The worst part about being lied to is knowing you weren't worth the truth"

For the political right, we are not worth the truth. We are not worth a thing to them.

It hit hard.

A coffee shop at the end of the universe. Which 3 writers are you chatting with?

Douglas Adams. Who you need to get you to the end of the universe

Terry Pratchett.

For a third, I am going off-piste with a producer and director Noah Hawley, who I was just reminded of today. Because his mind would be amazing. I want ot know how to write something like Legion.

"Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene. Please take my man"?

For the first time, our solar battery is full! We are exporting electricity. So you might be running on our solar power.

(Still in the process of trying to get paid for it)

Listening to a talk about Assange where they said "We cannot allow the government to define who is a journalist". Very true.

They seem to think the BBC Political team are journalists. And the employees of the Sun, Mail etc.

If the government likes someone, they are probably not a journalist. They are probably a spokesperson.

We need more journalists.

Anyone who has tckets for the Uriah Heap, Saxon, Judas Priet tour:

You are in for an absolute treat. All three acts totally class, completely giving it all still. 3 superb, headline-quality sets in one.

Personal favourite was Saxon, but it is simply a matter of my musical taste. In terms of preformance - nothing to choose.

I am always intrigued by the "Explicit" flag on metal songs (especially the less mainstream material).

a) Most of the time, you cannot actually hear the lyrics close enough for it to matter.

b) How come you are listening to a band called "Satans Arse Products"* and NOT expect there to be some strong language?

*Just a made up example, as far as I know.

As well as Nobel prizes, for those who have made a global difference in various areas, why don't we have a Bellend prize, for people who have made a global bellend of themselves?

I mean Trump would be a clear winner at the moment, but some of our UK politicians could also have been in competition.

26/2 Would you consider recording your own audiobook?

Not a chance. I hate the sound of my voice. I would want someone who has a nice voice to record it.

Bad Labour are better than Good Tory. It is still very true.

What we have currently is Bad Tory - really Bad Tory. And the alternative is Bad Labour - as Stamer has clearly shown. Bad Labour sucks like a black hole, but it is still better than Tory.

And they both show that the current shambolic system is broken.

Training course (online video) with a trainer who has a slightly camp/affected accent, a little like a mild version of Lloyd Grossman (for those who know).

It is an unpleasant accent to have to listen to (IMO). I really want to get to the end.

Why is it, in any Sci-Fy story, if something is damaged, is throws out loads of sparks, and usually explodes?

I mean, it seems like a basic design flaw. That those advanced cultures should have sorted.

Feb 8th. Which words do you overuse? Be honest.

The number of sentences I start with "So." ....

Most other overused words I catch as long as they are in a short space, although I tend to lookout for them elsewhere as well once identified.

So, in case you missed it, Sunak takes credit for clearing the Asylum backlog, despite the fact he hasn't, and now admits to being a failure. Of course, his failure in not really his fault, of course, because nothing is.

2 Feb - Do you agree with Jodi Picoult who says you should finish writing a book even if you think it might be garbage?

No. But also, don't scrap it. It may be that the way you are working with it is wrong. But there might be ideas you can incorporate into other works.

Or it may be that you will find a way to write the idea with a new context that will work for it.
