I understand the motivation behind this opinion and would like to see testing of beauty products on animals outlawed. But pigs with lipstick is not really what you take the most issues with, is it? It’s about giving rabbits cancer so we can test new cancer drugs on them. Assuming we make that illegal, how do you propose new cancer treatments should be tested?
Most games are apparently built like this. But there are two solutions: as you’ve said, making the UI configurable is one of them. (In KSP you can move the navball left and right on the bottom edge of the screen) Or the UI placement can be made with modern ultra wide screens in mind. W.g. the minimap is placed 40px from the right edge, unless the screen is an ultrawide one, then the UI is restructed to a box that is equivalent to a 21:9 (or 16:9) screen.
Afaik tiktok also heavily censors topics that are considered bad publicity or whatever. In fact, considering that this self-censor trend (edit: this type of self censor trend that utilizes cutting out vowels instead of using euphemisms or not using the words at all) is much much younger than YouTube or Instagram (at least I noticed it only a few months, maybe one or two years ago) I’d say the American companies weren’t even the driving force behind it.
I understand that and I prefer to not swear most of the time as well. But these “I’ll leave out the vowels” edits don’t change the number of swearwords in the sentence.
Yeah, but the YouTube culture used to not use swearwords/unwanted words as a result of this. I have recently seen a few videos, where they said prn and sx, including cutting the vowels from the audio. This change in how to deal with the restrictions imposed by the platform is what I don’t understand.
Edit: I have edited my comment above to be more precise.
I have many conversations with people about Large Language Models like ChatGPT and Copilot. The idea that “it makes convincing sentences, but it doesn’t know what it’s talking about” is a difficult concept to convey or wrap your head around. Because the sentences are so convincing....
I don’t understand why anyone would be against vaccines, with one exception: parents who have a kid that actually suffered from one of the super rare side effects. For example I have seen a documentary about pro/contra vaccine, where one person featured was a child who had gotten polio as a result of the polio vaccine.

erneuerbare Energien in Bayern.
We have the internet man, just bug another human and wait a few days to hear back from them.
Like I know that’s what you are “supposed” to do. But public money public knowledge, I refuse to accept that this is somehow an acceptable state of things.
Forsén stated in the 2019 documentary film Losing Lena, "I retired from modeling a long time ago. It’s time I retired from tech, too… Let’s commit to losing me.
She was a paid model, so I don’t consider the usage unethical based on that. But I like this comment from a journal:
In today’s age of high-resolution digital image technology, it seems difficult to argue that a 512 × 512 image produced with a 1970s-era analog scanner is the best we have to offer as an image quality test standard".
The children’s book “Drachenreiter” is written often from the perspective of the protagonist Dragon. Not sure if there is an English translation though.

This is exactly the source of the problem.
If all leftist cops quit, the police will obviously have a right bias. You should encourage people who agree with your ideology to join institutions that have power.
Same with the military. Why is there a disproportionate number of nut jobs in the military? Well, part of the reason is certainly because leftist social circles straight up bully anyone in their own ranks who would consider joining. edit: this applies e.g. In Germany much more than in the US. I crossed it out to avoid getting criticized by the us defaultism crowd.
Yes, of course. Do you think right wing cops will treat leftist protesters fairly? Who is supposed to prosecute 6th Jan actors? People who are sympathetic towards their actions? Surely not.
If you want leftist protests to be treated fairly you need cops who agree with the protesters.
I meant that more general than the US military. It certainly applies in Germany for example, which is much less involved in wars around the world.
But even if you want to restrict your view: Yes, even the US military complex could do with some left leaning people in positions of power. Who is advising the White House on where to send its military? Some random communist literature student or the military (with heavy commentary from oil and gas industry leaders?
