@flexghost The Scorpions are definitely Hair Metal. It is rumored that song was the work of a CIA psyops. Don't believe it but a cool story. Thin Lizzy influenced Hair Metal and the lead singer Phil Lynott was (for a high school kid) an awesome guy to be at a Queen concert with. That is Truffle Mushroom lasagna - very good. And my day is going well right now.

@flexghost Tougher one if including help making the movie. Without that extra, two of my favorites (tied together by the Polish singer Ania Dąbrowska's album "Movie") are Across 110th Street and Suicide is Painless. Not saying Ania's versions are better than the originals but still very cool in their own out there, rétro, avant-guardey way.

Queen performing Another One Bites The Dust live at the Montreal Forum in 1981.

The late 1970s and early 1980s tours were the best Queen live period. Their craft was perfected. The lighting rigs were superb, and the stages weren’t so big that they disappeared. Unlike the 1986 tour, where the stage was too big in most venues.

Hmm. Up now is Pogues, Young Ned of the Hill. Almost 90s. Still strangely obsessed with Shane's death which somehow got here from Bill Stains "Walker Behind the Wheel" (I know - way pre 90s). Moved from tequila and lime to IPA. Seems a long way from this morning's Counting Crows. Not a bad Friday.
