I rely on Bitwarden (slooowly migrating from… a spreadsheet…) and am thinking of keeping a master backup to be SyncThing-synchronized across all my devices, but I’m not sure of how to secure the SyncThing-synchronized files’ local access if any one of my Windows or Android units got stolen and somehow cracked into or...
While you may not agree with the argument, this was certainly a “groundbreaking” argument when it was made.
Using pure logic to make a coherent argument for the existence of God, Avicenna lived between 970 - 1037, it was definitely “new” when he made the argument.
It could lead to interesting situations where some people just use cash again.
As long a multiple wallets are simple to setup, you have your walking around money that is with you. In a secure location you have another general wallet that holds most of your liquid cash, and keep a third (4th, 5th…) wallet hidden containing some “emergency” money.
We go to the op shop quite often, some cool things have turned up. We also donate stuff, especially good for puzzles, keep them for a while then donate them back.
This would be amazing for anyone heading out to the bays or Wellington Airport, no intersections or lights to worry about, and it would make life so much easier for the CBD as well, not having so much through traffic in the CBD.
Listening to The Kaka this morning, Bernard Hickey has a nice take, one primary reason is that this will save politicians approx 15min between the airport and parliament…the cynicism made me LOL

A Māori mum misidentified as a trespassed “thief” at a Rotorua supermarket trialling facial recognition technology says she felt “racially discriminated” against and embarrassed during the “horrible” birthday incident....
Looking at community law, it looks like they only have the right to ask you to leave AFTER they have trespassed you, before that you have the legal right to be in the store.
Since this lady in fact had not been trespassed previously and they (probably) didn’t serve her a notice during the incident, she would seem to be well within her rights to say prove that it is me, and not leave/call the police to sort it out.
Whilst supermarkets are private property, they are not the same type of private property as your house. They need grounds to refuse entry/ask you too leave, there are all kinds of discrimination implications if you remove the need to have grounds to refuse service.
I use SSHFS when I want to quickly grab a file off my server at home.
It is not a permanent solution, but it is fast and SSH is almost never blocked so the network I’m coming from doesn’t matter.
Also SSH is great, if I don’t trust the network I’m on, I tunnel all of my traffic through my home server over a SSH connection (this worked whilst I was in China a few years ago, waiting for my connecting flight).
How do you handle your passwords?
