ich mach's mal konkret: Ich suche ab dem 01.10.2024 eine remote Festanstellung und möchte das Freelancerinnen-Dasein hinter mir lassen.

Ich kann: Digitale Barrierefreiheit von vorne bis hinten, Inklusion bzw. DEI umsetzen, Unterschiedlichste Menschen beraten und schulen, Medieninhalte erstellen und Software entwickeln (PHP + Ökosystem, Python, bereit für was Neues).

Kennt oder hat jemand eine passende Stelle frei? Im Thread sind noch ein paar mehr Infos.

@NatureMC that's not really helpful.

Fedivision is an amateur's contest after all and I think it's quite an achievement to have the possibility to listen to more than 70 songs on one platform (run by individuals) and being able to vote by using one's fediverse account.

Deciding which songs to vote for took me a long time. Voting itself took less than a minute.

@NatureMC well, yes, I simply can't just nod and smile at the comparison of a multi-million-euro event like eurovision with a community-run, free-for-all fedi thing.

Recording a video: 10 minutes. Doing a bit of editing: 5 minutes.
Typing up subtitles and translating subtitles: 45 minutes.

(And now putting the subtitles into the video... I want to finish before it's time for the afternoon walk. And I have tons of other things on my list, too. But subtitles are important.)

Nachfrage für jemand in Dtl: Sie bekommt Bürgergeld und ist darueber auch krankenversichert.

Wenn sie mehr als €145 pro Woche als Freiberufliche verdient, bekommt sie kein Buergergeld mehr und muss sich selbst selbst versichern.

Wie macht man das und wieviel kostet das?

(So habe ich das deutsche System bis jetzt verstanden. Korrekturen willkommen)

@petros bei "nur" 145€ (Umsatz oder Gewinn?) pro Woche würde sie vermutlich "Aufstockerin" bleiben und zwar nicht mehr den vollen Satz bekommen, aber doch weiterhin Unterstützung.
(Mir kommt die genannte Zahl lächerlich niedrig vor. Mindestbetrag für eine freiwillige Versicherung in einer gesetzlichen Krankenkasse liegt glaub ich auch um die 150 Euro pro Monat).
Sie könnte sich bei ihrer bestehenden Krankenkasse erkundigen, wie viel sie als Selbstzahlerin zahlen müsste.

Was ich an der Klaviermusik von Fanny Hensel und Clara Schumann übrigens nicht mag: dass man Dezimen greifen können muss (und nicht nur simple Dezimen, sondern oft auch mit mindestens einem zusätzlichen Ton in der Mitte).
Hab mich in Fannys Klaviersonate in c-Moll verguckt und eigentlich ist die technisch nicht unmachbar, aber die Dezimen vor allem im 2. ,aber auch im 3. Satz machen mich fertig.
Von Clara will ich gar nicht erst anfangen.

Rant über mal anders. 😂

Stürze ich mich halt auf die Toccata in c Moll, die Fanny mit ca. 18 Jahren geschrieben hat. Die ist einstimmig und trotzdem sehr effektvoll.
(Eigentlich müsste ich ja Orgel üben...)

@TheOldPossum Das ist eine Oktave, also der Abstand zwischen zwei Tönen gleichen Namens (der Anfang und der Ende einer Tonleiter), plus zwei Töne on top.

@TheOldPossum es liegt bei mir nicht an mangelnder Dehnfähigkeit, die habe ich durchaus, sondern daran, dass ich zwar recht große Handteller habe, aber vergleichsweise kurze Finger.
An der Orgel kann ich Dezimen übrigens einigermaßen greifen, da bei den meisten Orgeln die Tasten einen Tick schmaler sind als beim Klavier.
Rachmaninow ist überhaupt nix für kleine Hände. Probiere ich auch gar nicht erst.

@OskarImKeller beides. Zumindest von Clara ist bekannt, dass sie eher lange Finger hatte. Und historische Flügel und Klavier hatten oft etwas schmalere Tasten als heute. @TheOldPossum

Today marks the end of an era. Until today, I’ve always had an analogue telephone number attached to my life.

When I was little, it was 63158. Then it was 38099.
(Sadly I don’t remember the numbers after I left home, but I did have my own phone for a bit before moving in with Best Beloved.) Until this day it ended in 017…

Now, it’s cell phone only. We’ve been switched off. There is no longer a dial tone on our analogue phones.

@snaptophobic I still know the phone numbers of three different houses, in Munich, Weiden and Bayreuth. Bayreuth ended last year when we emptied the house.
It feels weird, doesn't it.

@mina wenn ich Lampenfieber vor Konzerten habe, hilft Bad putzen sehr.
Und früher hab ich nach anstrengenden Tagen in der therapeutischen Ausbildung gerne den Abwasch der gesamten WG gemacht.

Does anybody know a PeerTube instance which does accept registrations and uploads?

I'd be willing to pay a few Euros.

Or a really cheap web hoster, where I could install my own?

The instance, I was using has apparently gone away.

Update: The instance, I was using was only temporarily down and is back up. So: no urgency.

In the long run, I will probably just run my own instance.

    @2ndStar ich erlebe es immer wieder, wie Menschen einen unangenehmen Umgangston tolerieren und sogar entschuldigen, wenn sie auf der Suche nach "Reichweite" sind.
    Gut, ich hab den Luxus, dass ich auch damals im Vogelkäfig keine "Reichweite" gesucht habe und immer noch nicht suche, aber ich setz mich doch bei einem Ausflug für mein Picknick nicht freiwillig neben den Misthaufen, wenn ich auch unterm Birnbaum sitzen kann.
