1: I think a website should work in a web browser and not demand I install an app
2: I think single player video games should not demand you have an always on internet connection
3: I think that when I purchase a product, I actually own it and that it is complete and fully functional
4: I think that i should be able to talk to a person about a problem without waiting for 60 mins on a phone after spending 30 mins with a bot
If you vote for the leopard eating your face party, please don't complain when leopards eat your face.
Recently, I had to shut down a few whiny arseholes who I know voted for brexit after they were complaining about shortages and prices caused by their votes.
I have zero tolerance for people who vote for leopards whilst not wanting their face eaten.
So it appears that #AnyDesk has decided to go down the route of every other remote desktop access software.
Restricting their free personal use access to try and force people to give them money.
This would be the 3rd time I've had to start looking for new software.
I use it to access the 3 systems in my own home only.
They keep cutting my sessions off... Last POS company that did that used to do it after 60 seconds. At least they're letting sessions last longer... for now.
@anomnomnomaly There's a few open source / self-hosted ones you can get out there with clients I've seen, I've considered hosting my own but need remote desktop software so very infrequently I haven't reached a "Urgh let's install it" moment yet.
It's mostly used to access my home server and my work rig. I don't have a big enough home office to allow me to have multiple desks and monitors. So the server and workstation are in the corner and I remote onto them.
It makes it so much easier... everything is on the same switch. So speed isn't an issue.
But I remember the bullshit #teamviewer pulled a few years back. It was nasty, fake 'commercial use detected' bullshit to try and con you into paying hundreds for a license yearly
If you run a business and require your staff to wear anything that makes a statement about what your employees think about their job... such as 'I love my job' t-shirts and so forth.
Those employees should be able to demand that management wear clothing that states how their staff feel about them without any recrimination.
On my last day of working for the 'Firkin' chain of pubs (who loved using 'firkin' in slogans)
Has anyone used this brand of coffee beans before?
My usual Lavazza Intenso (9/10) has rocketed in price recently. I used to pay £55 for 4x1kg bags that would last me 8 months. But the price is now £69
These were £12.99 each. One is 8/10 and the other 9/10 strength... I usually make lattes with them.
Thought I'd try them as it could save me a little money, but if I have to turn up the amount of beans I use per cup... then not going to be a cost saving.
A 2hr show with a few surprises, almost like a greatest hits tour as they hit at least 2 songs from every album including some wonderful rearrangements. Like Martin Gore doing Strangelove accompanied only by a piano.
I also got to see them perform 'Black Celebration' & 'Stripped' from the #BlackCelebration album live.
So many great songs, they hit the faves like Just can't get enough & Everything Counts, 5 song encore ending with 'Never Let Me Down Again.
If ever there was a valid point to tell you that credit scores are worthless and are nothing more than an indication of how much interest lenders can get out of you... it when you are told that your credit score has dropped because you are using over 50% of your credit on one of your accounts... whilst at the same time telling that it's very positive that you are using less than 10% of your credit.
Whilst also punishing you for daring to move and register on the electoral roll somewhere else.
Whilst out the most Northerly tip of Angelsey today, just outside Cemas. The weather was so clear, you could see all the way across to the Isle of Man and the hills/mountains near Douglas and Castletown.
Met some locals from Cemas who said that they can't remember the last time they could see across that far.
Not a great shot with a pixel 6 pro camera... It's days like this I wish I had my Pentax X5 bridge camera on me. I really should keep it in the car again.
The view on the way home about 4pm today after a lovely long 4hr lunch.
I should have stopped on the way there at noon, because the sun was shining directly on them without any of the shadows, and It felt like there was more snow than there is now.
