apotheotic,

You’d be correct, but when they were manufacturing this screenshot they messed up!

Pity, could have just asked for my my friend’s transaction history, if they wanted a screenshot like this. /s

apotheotic,

My partnersLiterally just mango. I’ll spike that shit on a fork and eat it with the skin on if I have to, but nicely sliced mango is just to die for. If I’m “Apotheotic wants a little snacky” hungry and not “Eat a horse” hungry, mango is the way to (man)go.

apotheotic,

That’s supremely cool

apotheotic,

“isn’t it for the small-boat lot” you literally use this phrasing to dehumanize the people that you’re arguing are not being treated inhumanely

apotheotic,

Oh, absolutely. I’m not OP but I think they mean “in some alternate time line, Putin isn’t an evil piece of shit, and we can spend this 61B on these other issues”

I read it as them lamenting the fact that Putin could just not wage war and we’d have all this extra ability to solve other issues.

apotheotic,

“um actually” I guess to properly apply the pythagoras theorem here, you’d need to consider the magnitude of the lengths of each of these vectors in complex space, both of which are 1 (for the magnitude of a complex number you ironically can use pythag, with the real and imaginary coefficients of each complex number.

So for 1 you get mag(1+0i)=root(1^2 + 0^2) and for i you get mag(0+1i)=root(0^2 + 1^2)

Then using pythag on the magnitudes, you get hypotenuse = root(1^2 + 1^2) = root 2, as expected

Shit I meant uhh imaginary number go brr it zero

apotheotic,

If YouTube died tomorrow I’d be sad to lose a lot of my regular content, especially edutainment like Steve Mould, Veritasium, and Tom Scott.

But I’d probably just replace that portion of my time with some other form of content consumption, like streaming more shows or more reading.

apotheotic,

I’m actually gobsmacked to hear 1985 isn’t a bowling for soup original, it’s a song I associate with them intrinsically

apotheotic,

It was my understanding that the embroidery/pattern changes were based on how many times you had completed the game, but your point stands that it’s easy to tell a first timer

apotheotic,

Journey is one of the most sublime works of art in the video games medium. I have it tattooed on half my fucking arm.

I got similar feelings of awe from Citizen Sleeper. They’re vastly different games, but they both blew me away for what the “games as an art form” could be.

apotheotic,

I appreciate the sentiment, but even those who seek to take everything away from me deserve rights. I hate “gender-critical” shmoes with all my heart, but even they should have rights.

Now, whether “being allowed to have a say in someone else’s gender” should be a right… Fuck no

apotheotic,

I agree!

apotheotic, (edited )

Edit: I’m leaving my comment below for posterity and in case others are confused, but it actually isn’t what the above is about. See jarfil’s reply to this for context.

The use of “they/them/their” in the singular is a long established part of the English language. It’s not new, and you’re not butchering anything by using it. People who claim otherwise may either be poorly informed or intentionally being malicious. Hope this helps!

apotheotic,

If that’s the case, I apologise. So, the person is asking you to say like…

“Alex had an appointment today. Their said it went well”?

As opposed to “Alex had their appointment today”?

apotheotic,

That is indeed a new one. It’d take me a while to get that right too. It’s odd that your friend and her husband are wound up by you using her husband’s name

apotheotic,

First off, you’re valid!

And more seriously, as others have mentioned, you may be nonbinary!

apotheotic,

Um, how about no? Love DDG but good lord are we just supposed to take openai’s word for this privacy? Lol

apotheotic,

Idk, I appreciate the progress pride flag because it explicitly includes trans, intersex and poc. There’s a decent number of people who would consider themselves part of “the community” and use the standard rainbow flag, who don’t consider any identities past LGB. Its nice to be able to signal to people that you are genuinely a safe person/group/whatever who cares about the whole community and their struggles.

apotheotic,

I… What?

apotheotic,

Thanks for keeping beehaw a safe and friendly place <3

apotheotic,

That’s such a strawman reply. Nobody in this conversation thinks it is okay to be racist. You would not be banned for being anti racist, and implying that you would be is part of what you’re doing wrong here.
