My cat Dinah will only drink out of a cocktail glass on the kitchen counter, so I ordered her some margarita glasses for her water lol.

It’s more wide brim for her whiskers, and thicker stems for stability because she likes to stick her paw in the water.

I had a cat who would only drink out of a martini glass on the bar counter. He also had a placemat and chair at the table where he would eat his wet food. He was a demanding little jerk lol

I suspect, based on what my psychiatrist told me when he raised the strattera, the medication I take in the morning for depression blocks dopamine and serotonin receptors.

ADHD is made worse by low dopamine levels.

So I think my morning med is making the ADHD worse.

But it's either take it and stay out of chemical depression, or be depressed and struggle less with ADHD.

I have an appointment with him tomorrow and will find out more and see if anything can be done.

@pathfinder he will probably adjust the doses. For a while I would fall asleep for an hour after my morning med, then 2nd Strattera would wake me up and didn’t even need caffeine. Not sure what changed. Maybe the solution is more morning naps 😄

@Uniflame I’m not supposed to be taking them either but I was already on Strattera so my psych continues prescribing it.

Some said they identify as AuDHDer, and others said ADHDer.

Some choose neurodivergent or neurodiverse.

Whether you use options in the poll or something else, we get to decide what’s right for us individually, and no one has the right to tell us what label we should use. It’s a personal choice.

The manufacturer sent me photos of my Heart chew necklace pendant with the necklace string attached.

They added the adjustable necklace string, made the hole bigger so it would fit, and raised the little dip part up a little so it won’t fall off.

It’s perfect! I love it! 😍

I’m going to order the dark pink and red colors.

I’ve been sitting on the couch smiling since I saw those photos from the manufacturer.

It’s so neat to see this thing I created made exactly how I saw it in my mind, and there it is come to life.

And then it will be in my store and hopefully enjoyed by customers.

I’m going to sell them individually and in 2 packs with one of each color in a pack.

@Cassandra me too! I gave more direct instructions on what adjustments I wanted them to make. They’re on a business trip right now, but when they get back I’ll get a new price quote for 2 colors fully assembled and packaged.

Me and my little husky plush went to the store to get snacks and other stuff.

I made myself leave because I haven’t gone anywhere in a few weeks. Only open the door to put out the trash.

Brought the plushie along on my lap for moral support.

@pathfinder I had a little more energy today. Enough to go out. Still too foggy headed to work, but had energy. I don’t know if it was the new energy drink I had this morning, or the fact I got 10 hours of sleep last night, or both lol

Which terms do you prefer to use?

Do you use ‘have’ or ‘I am’ to describe your autism and ADHD?

Personally, I’m the first one and use ‘I am’ to describe both.

Just curious to see how common each one is. 🙂

I saw someone say today that cats are a reflection of their owners.

Must be why every cat I've ever had becomes needy and affectionate after I adopted them. All of them also bossed me around, and gave me lots of cuddles in exchange for my servitude.

I put my LinkedIn account into Hibernate (deactivate). It’s nothing but trash. All connection requests and InMail messages trying to sell me their business services and organizations/charities wanting money from me. Got tired of deleting connection requests and blocking messages, so just deactivated.

Good riddance.

Reminder: Abusive parents exist and that sometimes includes mothers. You are under no obligation to honor abusive parents, and you don't deserve to feel any shame or guilt about it. Abuse is never the victim's fault.

Jeff Bezos is opening 10 pre-schools in Texas for kids 3 to 5 years old. Tuition free.

They’re doing a lottery to enroll in the school.

He signed a 10 year lease for the schools, so he’s in it for the long haul and they will be tuition free the whole 10 years.

Pretty neat! I’m glad he’s doing something like that for my state. Good way to use his billions.

Idea: A service that supplies people to sit with rich people in their home theaters and hog their arm rests, talk during the movie, and place and receive phone calls on their mobile devices during the movie.

@JeremyMallin I had a home theater in my house I lived in back in middle school and 9th grade. We had a little platform and 2 couches. I’d use it to watch the same movie over and over again. And yet no one knew this was a sign of autism. It was next to my bedroom so loud AF when I was trying to hang out alone in my room. Very overloading.
