Which terms do you prefer to use?

Do you use ‘have’ or ‘I am’ to describe your autism and ADHD?

Personally, I’m the first one and use ‘I am’ to describe both.

Just curious to see how common each one is. 🙂

I saw someone say today that cats are a reflection of their owners.

Must be why every cat I've ever had becomes needy and affectionate after I adopted them. All of them also bossed me around, and gave me lots of cuddles in exchange for my servitude.

I put my LinkedIn account into Hibernate (deactivate). It’s nothing but trash. All connection requests and InMail messages trying to sell me their business services and organizations/charities wanting money from me. Got tired of deleting connection requests and blocking messages, so just deactivated.

Good riddance.

Reminder: Abusive parents exist and that sometimes includes mothers. You are under no obligation to honor abusive parents, and you don't deserve to feel any shame or guilt about it. Abuse is never the victim's fault.

Jeff Bezos is opening 10 pre-schools in Texas for kids 3 to 5 years old. Tuition free.

They’re doing a lottery to enroll in the school.

He signed a 10 year lease for the schools, so he’s in it for the long haul and they will be tuition free the whole 10 years.

Pretty neat! I’m glad he’s doing something like that for my state. Good way to use his billions.

I've been getting a lot of new reviews lately. All 5 stars.

One person said they will buy from my store again because they know they'll get a high quality product. A few said they'll buy again.

I'm up to 367 reviews and 279 of them are 5 stars. :RedHearts:

My store is finally on the path to developing a reputation for high quality. And it's separate from me as a person. I think that's the most important part.

Being AuDHD is like being disabled by 2 opposite forces.

Autism makes it incredibly difficult to exist in the real world (for me at least).

ADHD makes it hard to function on the daily stuff.

And when in autistic burnout, they both can combine forces and get worse with AuDHD.

I’ve been thinking maybe it’s time to raise my dosage of my non-stimulant ADHD med.

Looked up the max dosage of Strattera (100mg) and I’m already at 80mg.

I can’t take a stimulant because it would make me manic, and that’s very very bad.

Oh well. Just have to learn to manage.

@Kencf618033 stimulants can make people with bipolar both manic and psychotic. My entire life could self-destruct very quickly if that happened. Better to just deal with my lack of functioning,

I got the strangest store message today. Someone emailed me straight up asking for the manufacturer name and catalog number of a chew necklace in my store. All that falls under the trade secrets and privileged information. Such a strange question.

Just said they were trying to buy the chew necklace and needed the manufacturer info for their procurement team, which is who purchases directly from manufacturers to sell in their own stores. Why on earth would I give a random stranger that info.

Plus, Why would I give that privileged information to someone who is trying to compete with me? Are they going to buy all the stock up so I have none to sell? Very ridiculous question.

@arcadetoken Apparently. I hope they don’t find the manufacturer because that would suck, especially if they have the money to buy them all up. Oh, I’m going to check the URL of their email address and see who they are.

Edit: hmm it looks like they emailed from their work email. Store is probably a separate venture.

I had a Rockstar energy drink, coffee, and a small Red Bull can, and it made me so sleepy I passed out for 14 minutes and woke up feeling like I slept an hour.

Energy drinks are supposed to make me functional, not take a nap after 240mg energy drink caffeine + whatever 4oz coffee is.

Damn ADHD lol.

Energy drinks do this to anyone else?

Nikita doesn’t allow me to eat alone.

She came up to me while I was eating my dinner and starts asking me to pet her (she’s an affection eater).

Me: why do I always got to pet you while I eat, why can’t you pet me while I eat?

Nikita: pets me by rubbing her head all over my leg and arm

@Cassandra She has throughout the years, but the second time in the last week, yes.

When she eats Dinah’s food I’ll tell her “Nikita stop eating Dinah’s food” and she stops like fine whatever. I’ll tell her “There’s food in your bowl go eat your own food.” So she goes and eats her own food. Or I will tell her “It’s not time for you to eat yet. Too early.” She comes over and stares at me and goes meewwwwww.

She understands basic English when it’s about cat things.

Idea: A service that supplies people to sit with rich people in their home theaters and hog their arm rests, talk during the movie, and place and receive phone calls on their mobile devices during the movie.

@JeremyMallin I had a home theater in my house I lived in back in middle school and 9th grade. We had a little platform and 2 couches. I’d use it to watch the same movie over and over again. And yet no one knew this was a sign of autism. It was next to my bedroom so loud AF when I was trying to hang out alone in my room. Very overloading.
