It's been 18 months since I got an e-bike and I just recently purchased my first "acoustic bike" - a 1986 Shogun road bike from a neighbor on Craigslist!

I had a great time doing the lake Washington loop yesterday but I totally wasn't expecting the 520 bridge to be closed...

Ended up having to extend my ride to i90 - it was the longest bike ride of my life!

Feeling very accomplished with myself but mostly just sore beyond belief

Oil fuels more than just cars; it energizes the engines of oppression. Each gallon we burn props up tyrants and casts a long shadow over nations held by the iron grip of authoritarian rule.

Reject the cycle of conflict. Ride a bike. Challenge the status quo. Protest against the oil-soaked politics that spill into innocent lives.

Be the revolution, one pedal at a time. Ride not just in the pursuit of a healthier life, but in the pursuit of a more just world.

average_ebiker,

@urbanistorg sounds like some positive results outside of king county!

Thanks for the election coverage news.

I ended up modding my electric bike to add a surfboard rack. The throttle and back brake are on opposite sides so it was really sketchy trying to balance while holding a surfboard and braking with the front because it would shift the center of balance super far forward.

average_ebiker,

@malwaretech awesome setup!!!

I saw someone using one of these for a standup paddleboard earlier this summer and it looked like a lot of fun

In January police murdered a 23 year old while driving 74mph on a 25mph road.

The police officer responsible for ""investigating"" the other officer/driver's sobriety was recorded laughing about the death. The seattle police department and the seattle police officers guild is rotten to the roots, not just "bad apples"
