These were in a batch of records that clearly came from a d.j. Lots of hip hop singles, etc. But yes, there were a lot of Andy Williams records there.

"Sun Wheel", which came just after this e.p. I think, is good. But the other recordings sound much more polished and "produced", and he kind of got away from the vibe of this record. This was a unique little jewel.

I don't know that they've released everything - and not all of the releases are on vinyl, some are just digital IIRC. I don't know that they've issued Larry Nozero's "Time" lp. But I'm not entirely sure.. Anyway, it is pretty awesome to see so many Strata recordings in print.

Ah, I should've checked that Bandcamp link first. They've released that Nozero recording as a digital download.

This is a hitherto unknown (to me) jazz lp from the Detroit-based Strata label, recorded in 1970, and reissued most recently on BBE Records out of the UK. I wasn't sure what to expect, but saw the Strata logo and figured it was worth checking out. It's a really superb album, a 2xlp set, with sterling performances from all members, a slice of early 70s jazz that would not feel out of place on a Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, or Wayne Shorter record from the period.

McCoy Tyner - "Song For My Lady" (1973)

Those McCoy Tyner Milestone records are just tremendous. This one in particular is pure fire, harkening back to "Extensions". Michael White and Charles Tolliver are great.

Tenniscoats - "Papa's Ear" (2011)

In 2005, I went to a Damon & Naomi concert at a small club in Shibuya in Tokyo. Tenniscoats opened for them, and I recall that Michio Kurihara joined them for part of their set. Later, Masaki Batoh did a set with Kurihara, followed by Kan Mikami. It was great.
