I deeply regret buying a laptop for Linux with a hidpi screen. With two external 1080p screens, the scaling is all over the place and barely usable. Dangerously close to getting rid of the laptop and replacing it with a 1080p display one.

Turned up to the Gridserve chargers at Clacket Lane services on the M25 late this evening. Stupid charger wouldn’t accept my payment. Called up gridserve and they remotely rebooted the charger (which produced fun Linux kernel messages - hello qtwebbrowserkiosk), and then they remotely enabled the charger, free of cost! Nice!
@popey I tried to use their live chat once via my phone web browser. They said they would set the charger to free vend, but then the chat session went away.
Future me will remember to phone directly.
@popey The one time I needed to talk to somebody was when there was only a charging post with very little information on it. I shall add their number to speed dial ;)

Bah! For the last couple of days my personal blog has been getting absolutely hammered by someone having deep-linked to an image (a gif) from https://rssing.com
I made the file 403, but it it's still hammering the site constantly for 3 days.
My server serves about 1Mb/s normally, with this it's nearer 55Mb/s.
