I don't want to link people to the bird site but I'm quite proud of the thing that @Lukew started over there to add MathML-Core support for Svelte 5, which was then picked up and added in the course of a couple of days by others to Angular, Preact and Lit.

That's freakin awesome.

@koalie I do have some throw rugs but i can lift them up and clean under them and stuff. Nothing particularly "against" carpet necessarily, just always gets gross..

in 2024 <g:plusone>, which I guess has been pointless since when Google shut down Plus in April 2019, still appears on more sites in the HTTP Archive March crawl than the native <var> element. I wonder if they still try to load the code and draw the buttons and so on. / @tunetheweb ?

Hmm.. anyone who was a kid in the 80's - do you remember there being some Marlboro commercials - just the cowboy thing? I'm just reading a thing that implies that "The last televised cigarette ad ran on January 1, 1971, at 11:50 PM during The Johnny Carson Show." which is before I was even born so ... Is it just a false memory? I'm mashing up billboard/other advertising with TV maybe? I'd swear I remember it.

@koalie Hmmm good question... Everything? I'm suddenly very interested in exercise and growing things, and ticking off boxes every single day of things that need done around the house. Mainly I'm interested that there's enough time to do all of these things and i wonder what i was doing with it all before 😅

Why do marketing people get so obsessed about time someone spends on a page (with the assumption that longer=better because 'engagement')? Good IA should mean users find what they want quickly; good UX means quick ordering. Good copywriting means quick comprehension, doesn't it?
