@pixelfed I was trying this out today, and it seems that stories arenโ€™t federated outside of Pixelfed. So if someone follows my pixelfed account from Mastodon, they donโ€™t get notified of any of the story content. Is that correct? ActivityPub / Mastodon COULD handle displaying these posts, and even deleting them after the set time. Maybe display them in a threaded post as a sort of collection as they get added?

Finishing up my Calckey Plugins week with a fun one. MFM (Misskey Flavoured Markdown) is quite an expressive art form and a great entry to coding, math, and styling (but having fun and not realizing your'e learning something) ๐Ÿคซ

Here I've created a plugin generator, which writes the AiScript code based on a few pieces of information provided by a user in a form.

I keep thinking of how creatives could utilize and similar to what theyโ€™ve done with Mickey Mouse, I can imagine comic strip vingnettes playing out in an immersive experience. Imagine joining Calvin and Hobbes on an adventure with Spaceman Spiff, or hanging out on the hillside with Opus and Bill the cat.

I haven't been able to determine exactly how works. An outward facing display screen that projects an image of your eyes? So there are cameras inside facing your eyes? Is it just a pre-captured image?

If it's just a display screen - the devs are going to do silly things with it the first chance they get. ๐Ÿ˜†

I know there are sensors facing your eyes, tracking all kinds of things including where you are looking. How soon before there is an iHealth integration for vision. That's kinda cool.

    @davidgarywood I think you're pretty spot on. Introducing AR chat is the only one I'm not sure about. I mean, you can already have avatars in MS Team and Zoom meetings and absolutely no one uses it that I know of. But maybe that's because it's a work environment. It would need to be amazing.

    @davidgarywood I think the gesture / background effects were a solid move over memojis, obviously using some of the work they did on AR to make it happen. And inclusion of those effects in non-Apple meeting apps is a win.

    Iโ€™ve been neglecting , and likely to stay that way until July. Iโ€™ve found myself using it to do light browsing. You canโ€™t reply, like or boost. Just view posts. Obviously not a full fledged app but I enjoy the simplicity.

    This bit I added is my favorite. If someone posts with visibility set to followers only, it is shown with a highlight around it, calling out that the person made a special point of showing me that information. Wish the real apps would consider similar.

    I finally settled on @phanpy for the live feed of WWDC content. You can create a Hashtag timeline (, , ) easily. New posts coming in are nicely queued at the top while you catch up, then you can release them when ready to continue.
