Microsoft recall is fucking insane.

Recall snapshots are kept on Copilot+ PCs themselves, on the local hard disk, and are protected using data encryption on your device and (if you have Windows 11 Pro or an enterprise Windows 11 SKU) BitLocker.

Recall uses Copilot+ PC advanced processing capabilities to take images of your active screen every few seconds. [...]

[...] The default allocation for Recall on a device with 256 GB will be 25 GB, which can store approximately 3 months of snapshots. [...]

WHAT WHY NO ST-

Note that Recall does not perform content moderation. It will not hide information such as passwords or financial account numbers. That data may be in snapshots that are stored on your device, especially when sites do not follow standard internet protocols like cloaking password entry.

Recall also does not take snapshots of certain kinds of content, including InPrivate web browsing sessions...

Why does every secure messaging app have to use your phone number?

We already have a thing that's relatively anonymous, easy to burn, anyone online has, and can be used for contacting people: a fucking email.

My phone number is already filled with spam, I don't need a stupid "secure" messager leaking it because I didn't do a dozen steps to hide it :middle_finger_clw_k1:​

Using the logs from the debugging trace to find a peephole optimization for my game of life implementation. Managed to reduce runtime by 80%

Output from the same program, now given a peephole optimization. The hill of pending data no longer grows linearly, but almost logarithmically.

Someone in the Concatenative programming discord posted a small PDF about The Principal Programming Paradigms asking where it'd fit. So, I had a little fun trying to fit some of the languages in the space onto the chart.

It also reminds me how little research is in this space. Such a sparse family of explored ideas.
