Just got ChatGPT Code Interpreter to write me a SQLite extension in C from scratch, then compile it with GCC, then load it into Python and test it out, then iterate on it to fix the bugs

All on my phone while pottering around the house

@simon That is really neat, but when I tried it, I was unable to keep ChatGPT compiling. It made a first run and found the missing import, but then it just wouldn't keep compiling. On a semi-related note, I wonder when ChatGPT and others will start caching more prompt/response pairs. Generating the same slightly wrong code over and over seems suboptimal.

my view in fewer than two ~ the first 17 public beta is out and i'm not really seeing any must-have feature that i couldn't live without ~ are you going to be installing it? have you install it? what's must-have new for you?

@ChrisPirillo the must have for me is the ability to upgrade to watchOS 10 and with that the ability to connect to my bike’s power meter for workouts.

@paul @amro I definitely want Zuck to win. He’s got significant age and fitness advantages, but Musk has 6” of height.

I wonder how editors with + relatives, or who are LGBTQ+ themselves, avoid suicidal despair in moments of clarity about the nature of their job? I wonder what they tell themselves to avoid facing the truth? "At least I make a lot of money!" Is that enough?
