34 degrees is a fairly normal temperature for Texas in February. That’s if you’re talking 34F. It’s supposed to be 34C for a high temperature here today. This is not normal.

I'm an infertile atheist. In a fit of desperation while doing IVF, I went into a church and promised that if I could have children, I'd have them baptized. I had twins and returned to fulfill my promise because of superstition. I was then told that because they were IVF babies, they had no souls and couldn't be baptized. So, I went back to my original FUCK RELIGION stance. 🙄

It’s weird, the random memories that pop into your head sometimes.
In the late 80s, my band was playing a week long gig in Amarillo, and one night, a couple of us wanted to eat somewhere different than the other guys were driving to, so we set out walking about a mile to the restaurant instead of driving the big equipment truck. About halfway there, a pickup truck with a couple of guys riding in the bed screeched to a halt in front of us. One of the guys jumped out of the truck and yelled at me, “I’d kick your hippie ass for $5.” I’m not sure why I yelled back, “Sorry but I don’t have $5.”, but it confused him to the point that he just climbed back into the truck and they peeled out. I’m still amazed I didn’t get my ass kicked that day.
I’ve never understood why some people get violently angry, just because of someone else’s appearance. If this happened to a long haired white kid, I can’t imagine the treatment that people of color got. And now people are being killed, just because of their existence. This hate is what’s destroying America and it needs to stop now.
