I'm not normally one for remixes, but @Kitty 's theme of did make me think of the Justin K Broadrick 'Reshap' (that's a , right?) of Mogwai's George Square Thatcher Death Party. It's already a great song, and this turns it into this amazing haunting, slow and washed out version https://songwhip.com/mogwai/george-square-thatcher-death-party-justin-k-broadrick-reshape

I'm not sure I've done a before, but I dig this week's theme of .

One of my favorite remixes EVER is this Pirates Mix: Bumblebeez Remix of Beck's "Nausea". I like it WAY better than the album version of the song. This was on the deluxe version of The Information.

Love that Beck goes for these wild remixes of his stuff.

It is and this week's theme is so in the name of that extra (to the Americans) U, my contributions are from bands who also spell it that way. First up we have supergroup Electronic. Why are they a supergroup Kelly? Because Johnny Fucking Marr and Bernard Fucking Sumner decided to make music AND THEN teamed up with both Pet Shop Boys and Karl Fucking Bartos of Kraftwerk, that's why. Here is the 808 State Mix of Disappointed by Electronic. https://youtu.be/

And since I'm thinking about Kraftwerk, you probably already know that if you like any electronic music you have them to thank. But did you know that hip-hop also owes them? Afrika Bambaataa was obsessed with Keaftwerk and borrowed heavily from them for my next entry, Planet Rock. My favorite remix of Planet Rock is the Karl Bartos Remix. Maybe it will be too. My issue is that I have listened to a lot of remixed music over the years. Some great, some not so great.

One of my more recent favorites has been Destructo's remix of Dolly Parton's "Jolene." Check it out here: https://songwhip.com/dolly-parton/jolene-destructo-remix

Another amazing remix from the past few years was when Kygo reimagined Whitney Houston's "Higher Love."

It really transforms this into, basically, a whole new song. It's fantastic, in my opinion. Check it out here: https://songwhip.com/kygo/higher-love

Throwing an entry into the amazing theme of (thanks, @Kitty and @Esoteria - there's a lot of cool music on this tag!):

I credit Nhato's remix of Calliope Mori's "失礼しますが、RIP♡" + the contest it was part of as the biggest factor that dragged me into vTubing. I cannot describe the audience's reaction when we learned he created a brand-new YT account just to drop this banger onto the roster.

For me Ludovico is the best contemporary composer. Even though it's described as melancholic, many of his songs make me dance around. To me it resembles more electro music, so a bit of dubstep remix fits perfect.

Exciting theme by @Esoteria for this @Kitty 's : .

Not my most favorite, but definitely among my most favorite remixes.

With this different take, "Dragula" by Rob Zombie acquires a cyberpunk-ish dress.

After all, this one was chosen to be a track for The Matrix soundtrack.

There’s an excellent collection of remixes of different artists by Alex Patterson of The Orb released as ‘Auntie Aubrey’s Excursions beyond the Call of Duty’ but they are sometimes a bit difficult to track down. This is an excellent mix of Miracle by System 7 off of the second compilation.
