If I didn't realise that all customer surveys have a negative impact on the people you have dealt with, I would answer every one with “zero stars, was very satisfied until yet another bloody customer satisfaction survey hit my inbox”

What I need is a USB-C to 12v 1.3A barrel connector plug.

This feels like it should be a thing and would mean I don't need to carry another mains plug around with me.

AI as far as the eye can see

But I still can't smoothly rewind a streaming TV show.

Interesting… notification in Facebook telling me I can object to my data being used to improve AI at Facebook and that if my objection is honoured then that will be the case going forward.

I submitted the form and just got an email saying they will honour my objection.

@girlonthenet I followed your lead and listened to Punk Rock Factory while doing a 4 mile round trip to the supermarket on the bike.

I am not sure the people of Bristol really appreciated me hollering Gummi Bears along the cycle path, but it made me feel fantastic!

Dashing and daring,
Courageous and caring…

I am getting the lead balloon ready for when Emma finds out that the bike shop gave us the wrong charger for her new ebike.

At least she has enough range for the ride we are going today, but I predict a riot.

has gone from being a shit show (that I kinda love) to being a complete shitshow this year.

I hope Graham Norton is on top form this evening.

What domain registrar is the "go to" these days?

People who run their own registrar need not answer this question ;)

Adding to the confusion, Zoho makes a distinction between a Passkey and a Security Key.

I am fairly sure that 97% of the issues with using Passkeys, hardware keys, and webauthn is caused by really really really bad UI.

Is anyone from Octopus Energy on Mastodon?

I have questions as to why the octopus I received recently has dilated pupils and can't sit straight…

On the left is the octopus that arrived a few years ago. On the right is the one from last week.

It might be a bit silly to stand in the middle of a dual carriageway to take a photo, but in this instance I am on The Road To Nowhere just south of Yate.

Does anyone else like to make toast, butter the toast, and then put the toast back in the toaster?

If you haven’t, try it - toasted butter is yum++.

Looking to buy some heat shrink tubing. At most I need about 10cm.

Amazon is all “500 assorted heat shrink tubing kit”.

The really annoying thing is that I won't be able to buy what I need cheaper locally.

If you haven't done the bare minimum of having any online presence then why on earth should I vote for you in the local elections?

I am basically voting for the only two who aren't Tory, don't look like a serial killer, and have some sort of statement written on a website.

Every so often I find vestiges of the old web hidden away in the search results, such as this wonderful website about pylons.

I think I might spend the day cycling down to Portishead while listening to Portishead.

There is a WWII anti-aircraft battery en-route and also some new pylons are going in as part of the Hinkley Point project.
