Cleaner is in tomorrow. I’m always ashamed at the state of the house before she arrives but have to try not to clean cos there’s no point the night before. And the reason it needs a clean is why I got a cleaner in the first place: cos we can’t keep on top of it and work.

I finish early on a Monday. It’s amazing how everyone appears out of the woodwork at 2:55 wanting things. I’ve switched Teams onto ‘offline’ whilst finishing my few bits off. I don’t get paid past 3!

Sat down with Hubbie and the kids for a nice Sunday afternoon tea in the sun.

Next door struck up their strimmer then cut their grass! Talk about timing!

(They always cut it in the middle of the day in the sun. I was always told this is a big no-no and it can kill the grass???)

Assuming the public votes won’t be voting for Israel as much as the judges vote has.

Genuinely disgusted Israel weren’t banned like Russia were.

@jeffmarkel never said Hamas were right. But it was not a proportional response to the horrific attack and genocide to reply to genocide will never be right either.

The scoring is the best bit. The acts are always weird or outrageous.

The country reps are on another planet. And the hosts have to politely humour them.

Bar our Joanna Lumley who did us proud and got a national tv reference in as well

Not that I’m watching cos eldest is ill, but this is when having a geographically local instance of mastodon really works! The UK is watching and the commentary via the ‘Local’ instance feed on mastodon.me.uk is great! The main ‘home’ feed is pretty good to as that’s capturing wider European reactions. I know Australia love it too and are watching. Does the US & Canada get it streamed or do they just get strange home feeds for the evening?

@Funktious my friend lived up on Mull for many years. She got married on the beach on May 1st with no backup plan ‘because it’s always nice the first two weeks in May’ - and it was. We’ve had some cracking holidays up on the islands at this time of year. So glad you got to experience it! (Assuming you are on holiday and not a local - I should have checked your bio!)
