I just realized that I've been using adblock so consistently, for so long, that I have basically no idea what the average person's experience of the internet is like.
Every now and then I use someone else's device that isn't so locked down. And I'm floored by how useless and annoying the internet is. IDK how people do this.
Summer is unique for a lab. She is never motivated by food. In the morning, we wait a while before we offer breakfast, so she is more likely to be hungry. The vet is always amazed when they try to bribe her with treats, and she isn't remotely interested.
This morning, Summer and her pal watched TV until they felt like eating breakfast. She doesn't know it yet, but chicken liver, kibble, and green beans are on the menu.
That's the thing about being retired, except for days we have appointments, we are pretty laid back.
Good morning, Mastodon. #Summer
I'm very slightly colorblind and telling the difference between a boosted and unboosted post on #Mastodon is really hard for me (on the light theme especially). #accessibility
@sanfierro@oconnell I'm glad my client Megalodon (android) uses an icon and even names the booster. See image, top left corner.
This client has lots of good features.
@oconnell@sanfierro oh, yes. On mine they are white or ... uh oh ... pink. Yes, that sounds problematic. 🙁 I think, if I changed my colour scheme, they might be a different colour, tho. (My whole theme is white on black with pink accents).
I wonder if your developer would be open to feedback?

Concrete experience always overflows abstract and idealized scientific representations of phenomena. There is always more to experience than scientific descriptions can corral. … The failure to see direct experience as the irreducible wellspring of knowledge is precisely the Blind Spot.
The tragedy the Blind Spot forces on us is the loss of what’s essential to human knowledge—our lived experience. The universe and the scientist who seeks to know it become lifeless abstractions.
