In a world filled with countless websites, it's often the little things that make a big difference. With Drupal, getting these details right has never been easier. Example: naturally ordered lists. https://agaric.coop/blog/display-lists-naturally-other-words-module-drupal

Important Drupal announcement! 📢 We made the decision to grant Drupal 7 one final extension before it reaches end of life. 🗓️ Mark your calendars for January 5, 2025, as it will be the official end of life for Drupal 7, with NO further extensions. When that date arrives, Drupal 7 will have completed a remarkable 14-year journey. Make sure to plan your migrations accordingly. Important details at https://www.drupal.org/psa-2023-06-07.

A huge congratulations to Randy Fay (@ddev) for winning Drupal's "Aaron Winborn Award"! This award, named after an incredible Drupal contributor who sadly passed away, recognizes individuals who show personal integrity, kindness, and go the extra mile for the Drupal project and community. It's definitely one of Drupal's most prestigious community awards, and Randy Fay absolutely deserves it! 🙏 💙 https://www.drupal.org/community/cwg/blog/2023-aaron-winborn-award-winner-randy-fay

I've updated my personal website, https://dri.es/, to the latest version of Drupal, which is Drupal 10.0.9. It's incredible to see how much hard work and dedication goes into each release of Drupal, even into a bug fix release like Drupal 10.0.9. You can get a good idea of all the work that was done by checking out the release notes at https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/releases/10.0.9. I'm grateful to everyone who contributed to Drupal 10.0.9!

Not interested in bluesky. If Jack Dorsey had 33% control over a Mastodon instance I would still insist on encasing it in concrete and launching it out past the asteroid belt.
The AT protocol, on the other hand, seems to at least have some potential value as another decentralized publishing protocol that could be in meaningful conversation (if not competition, of a mutualist sort) with ActivityPub. So if there's ever a FOSS implementation of it we could try out, that'd be neat.

dries,

@davew @jplebreton I like the Nostr protocol. It’s simplicity reminds me of RSS. I wrote about it at https://dri.es/nostr-love-at-first-sight.

Weird that @dries is running a Shark Tank for Drupal ideas at , but it is not clear where funding is coming from and what winners/recipients will be required to provide in exchange. https://dri.es/shark-tank-meets-drupal

dries,

@mikemccaffrey In essence, it is an experiment to connect innovative and impactful ideas with funders. We're working on lining up some bakers. I think it’s worth a try.
